I admit I jumped on the bandwagon but I am sooooo glad I did. I bought this horse about a month ago under weight but not bad. A little on the doggy side not a whole lot of energy but she's all cowbred I thought maybe that was her "thing". She's been on Cur-Ost for a little over 2 weeks and she has soooo much energy! I love it, I love her! If anyone is thinking about getting on it I really like the results I've gotten so far. She is surprisingly enough the most sound horse I own and at 5 years old I'd like to keep her that way. She is a witch to other horses but getting increasingly better. I'm not sure if its the product or a diff owner/surroundings? I'm trying to upload a picture... hang on

Yep!  The product is legit and the things it can and does from your horse's health from the inside out is remarkable....even if you don't currenlty have issues you're treating or trying to get under control.  It's the second best money you'll ever spend on your horse, only behind good quality forage.  So happy you decided to take the leap of faith!

which product did you start with?

I'd like to know also...I just purchased 2 of the products, the Stomach one for my mare with Kidney stones who has some ADHD issues that I think are stomach related and then the Green product I believe it is for my gelding who is having some issues with his feet, radiographs didnt' show much other than the vets want him on something to reduce inflammation and didn't think it was time to inject yet.

Did you talk with Dr. Schell? I started with the Stomach and he recommended Adapt and Calming to go along with the Stomach. I can't remember why he told me to do both at the same time, but the Adapt is very reasonable!

I'm going to get the Adapt next pay check. I see they are often used together. I signed up to be part of the forum but haven't gotten an email back yet....

I think you'd be better off with going with the Total Support over the Green next time.  It has a higher level of anti-inflammatory ingredients than the Green and also give the stomach and hind gut a bit more support as well.  Did you speak with someone at the office or with Dr. Schell before ordering?

I recenlty purchased the Stomach formula and am anxious to try it.  Everything in my barn is on Total Support, but i have one horse who really internalizes stress and after a weekend of travelling, he's a little crabby the first of the week, so I know it's getting to him more than he's showing outwardly.

Even with them on Forco? Then again, my gelding is one of the internalizing stress horses. On the outside he looks like he is half asleep and underneath you you can feel his heart beating a million miles an hour so makes some since. I didn't talk to anyone, tried to sign up for the forum and it apparently didn't work since I have not received the email confirming my sign on.
The other deciding factor was $75 vs $120...kind of have to be careful of my pennies.

Oh Herbie, I LOVE the Stomach and Adapt together! I am now waiting to receive my Total for my gelding to switch over to, per Dr. Schell. The Stomach and Adapt have made an amazing difference in my boy. I had used another very good product for ulcers, but it just seemed to keep him at a certain level and that was it. The Stomach and Adapt brought him all the way back. I have a filly that has also been on the other product but has since started standing stretched out again and seems a little more anxious so as soon as I can save a little money, I am putting her on the S and A.

Maybe you contacted him on the day several people tried and the site was actually down I think. You might try again. I know one day I tried to get on and I couldn't. I know all the trouble you have had with CC and I think Dr. Schell would be very interested in talking to you. He is a pretty open minded vet for sure.

IMO you need to discontinue the FORCO and any other supplements you're using to get the full benefit of the product.  I have fed FORCO for probably 10 years, and yes, it was hard to talk me out of it too, but I no longer feed it or any other supplement.  There is a great article on the website regarding pre and probiotics and what is being found in the hindgut of horses through fecal samples.  The overage of lactic acid bacteria is a huge inflammatory issue and is due to the over supplementation of pre and probiotics, and likely caused by us (me) and trying to do what is right, but in essense, over supplementing what isn't actually needed.

The Green formula is just for mild inflammation....like that of a pasture horse who isn't getting used very often.  It doesn't offer any stomach support either I don't think.  I wish you would have ordered the Total Support right off because it has a higher level of anti-inflammatory support along with stomach support.  It's a great product that takes care of most inflammatory issues.  That being said, if it's not strong enough to relieve what issues are there, there are still other options and often have to get the issues under control with a combination of product, then maintain with just the Total Support.

I shared this on the other thread as well, but didn't want anyone to miss it, so sharing it here too.  Yet another person who's life has been changed by this product when traditional medicine had failed her.  Even a specialist that she's seen for years couldn't get her medicine right or her feeling better and she's continued to deteriorate....until now.

I mentioned in the other thread about my coworker who was having such great success with the product for her fibromyalgia.  She isn't a horse person and doesn't ride, but is my friend and I have seen her suffer with horrible pain for years.  A month ago she came in crying due to the pain and was missing work because she was unable to get out of bed.  She was already on a curcurmin supplement, but her pain was still unbareable.  She knew what a skeptic I had been and I had shared with her the experience my  horse and all that had happened.  She came in one day crying and handed me $100 bill and please help me.  I realized it was going to cost $150 for the supplement that she didn't have, so I paid the extra $50 out of my pocket to get her started and assured her that she would know in a month if this was going to help her, and if it did, we'd cross the next price bridge when it came.  She told me through tears that IF this cur-OST stuff worked, that she was going to come in doing cartwheels in front of my office, to which I replied I was going to hold her to that.  I look up after lunch and low and behold, there she is, cartwheeling in front of my office.  Please excuse the "belly shot" but if this can help her, with her extreme pain and issues with inflammation, it can help anyone.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yAX0nDyIYs

She's now off all prescription medication except for her tramadol once daily, and that has been reduced from 3 times daily to once daily.  She says she thinks she could get off of it totally, but she's scared.  I suspect she will be done with it before long.  She's also gone from having a bowel movement once every 2 weeks to almost daily.

I know people are tired of hearing me, and others, rave about this stuff, but if we follow the program, be prepared for near miraculous results!

Okay, so Herbie, you recommend the Total Support over the 2X product.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by the 2X product.  Is that the experimental product he's working on? Also are you still feeding the forco?

Sorry, its the EQ Plus, I just saw the 2X on the bag and assumed that was what it was called...I pulled my mare I'm giving the Stomach one to off Forco. The others I left on Forco until I get paid and can get another bag of the Stomach to start everyone on. Their issues are as extreme as CC's are so hoping to stretch it out a bit.
I did want to ask you too Herbie, my gelding came up sore a week ago, sent his X-rays I had done at UC Davis to the vet I usually go to for lameness stuff and after hearing what he saw on the x-rays had made an appt. to take him in next Monday for further evaluation. I got home Sunday and the gelding and one mare were in their pastures running and bucking, ran down there and they were fending off Bot flies. The gelding was very lame at this point, pointing his right front and I'd say a 8-9 on a scale of 1-10 lameness, he had been a 3 or so before this incident. Gave him Previcoxx, emailed the vet and updated him, no heat or swelling anywhere. I did put his Old Mac's on him, but not much change the next day or the next. Yesterday I decided to use the Green on the gelding and the mare that I have that usually use a joint herb from Equine Natural Care , it was recommended for her Head Shaker syndrome and has worked really well. I just figured I might as well use the Green since I had it and would have to pay S&H to return in plus a restocking fee. This morning the gelding is significantly better. Still going to the vet obviously on Monday but just wondered if the product could possibly have worked that quickly??? I was ready to drink bleach Monday and Tuesday...today I have a little more hope that we can get him thru whatever is going on.

Yes, it can work that quickly, absolutely.  I recently had the vet out for a mild, persistent lameness on a 2 YO.  She's broke, but hasn't been ridden this summer.  Just  been turned out.  I had the vet out a couple of weeks ago to shoot some films just to make sure there are no fractures or anything weird.  Vet wanted to inject the coffin joint or give an Osphos injection, both of which I chose NOT to do at this point.  I sent my x-rays, pictures of her hoof from all angles, and videos of my filly trotting in a tight circle and in the roundpen to Dr. Schell to get a second opinion, then discussed options.

This filly toes out a bit in front and has developed a wing on the outside of her foot, which is loading the weight to the inside, and as a result making her toe out more I think.  Dr. Schell advised how to trim her, which I chose to do myself, and which product to use to get her inflammation managed and under control so it doesn't create additional issues.  Yes, boney changes do happen and are not reversible, but the pain and inflammation can be managed to keep the condition from worsening.  I don't have any boney changes, and I want to keep it that way.

I should get my product in the next day or so and will start her on it.  For this filly, he recommended the Pure and the Nourish.  I will keep you posted.

But yes, long story short, I saw literal overnight improvement with my gelding and had a completely new horse in 30 days.  It is without a doubt possible.  Others have seen a completely new horse in a week....just took mine a bit longer to make a complete come back considering how far gone he was.

E-gads, this is making a ton of sense...my gelding also toes out, always has. When I got him as a coming 2 year old he toed out, had to deal with some fetlock scar tissue as a 5 year old from him interfering with himself. Then 3 years ago my old farrier moved, and 5 months into the new farrier I noticed my now 11 year no longer toed out and was not clocking nor wanting to move around his pasture losing all of his topline. Now we are dealing with the left over mess that all created.

I was going to try some of the human Pure before putting my navicular/laminitis  gelding on it.  But the shipping for one little container of the human formula is $10.95 - wow, that is more than I'm willing to spend for shipping.
