What is everyone's favorite/most price efficient complete vitamin/mineral supplement? I am feeding renew gold and want to make sure they get everything that need. They always have access to a mineral block, salt lick and loose mineral.

Horse Tech's High Point Vit/Mineral.  It also has probiotics and prebiotics in it.  I've put it into the FeedXL.com program and it has high levels of minerals and vitamins unlike a lot of the other products, where the maker spends all their money on advertising rather then ingredients.  There's a lot of glorified alfalfa pellets being sold as a vit/mineral supplement and this program will help you sort thru those.  I love the FeedXL.com program!

Right now I am feeding Formula 707 Horse Logic 4 in 1 because I got a free sample. Just wondering what everyone else is feeding with their Renew Gold and what is the best for an affordable price.

THE Muscle Mass or Performance Formula. You can add blends for joints, ulcer, moody mare etc to customize it. It is all natural, no synthetics and utilizes Nitric Oxide to insure the horse's system absorbs everything you are paying for.

I feed Equerry's Combined Rx 4-Way with Renew Gold. Equerry's has lots of other great supplements too, including an economy one.

THE has worked super well for all of my horses. Very pleased with how my horses look and feel. One is on a custom formula based off of her cbc and chemistry panel and JointFLEX. Another gets MM with special blends. Another one gets FlamOxide and my youngster gets JointPLUS.  I feel like they have so many options I didn't have to go to mutiple companies to fill in the gaps of all my horses.

I don't follow all the feed threads here. But isn't Renew Gold already a supplement? If so, it should have all the vitamins and minerals in it already. If so, you are causing more problems by doubling up on the Vit/min you are feeding. If so, it could cause more problems than it would solve. There are some vitamins and minerals that are toxic when you give too much.

As far as I am aware, Renew Gold is not a complete feed which is why it is called a feed supplement. It has no added minerals or vitamins in it like other complete feeds.

I'm not sure. Dr. Larry Metheney is my vet and he gave me a bottle to try. My horse is super sensitive to supplements - they normally make him mean. My horse gets that and MagRestore (magnesium) and life is much better. Give him a call. 602-541-2497

The only thing devoid of vitamins and minerals is straight oil. Is this product pure oil? If it's not, it has nutrients in it. That lack of balance in something people are feeding will cause anything else you feed with it to be off balance as well.

"Combines Stabilized Rice Bran with CoolStance® coconut meal and Flax for balanced nutritional support." If it's balanced, you don't need anything else other than hay, salt and water.

I can help here. Sorry I did not respond sooner, I have been traveling. Renew Gold provides high levels of fat soluble vitamins. A recommended Renew Gold diet will normalize the hind gut which allows the horse to properly make water soluble vitamins as they evolved to do. Remember, there was no place in nature where a horse could stop at the vitamin pile. Now, a high grain ration will interfere with that vitamin production in the hind gut, so added water soluble vitamins may make sense in those diets. Those added vitamins are not necessary in a proper RG diet. As to minerals, this varies by geographic region. Where there are specific mineral deficiencies in some regions, added mineral support for that specific deficiency makes sense, just as it would in any diet. I would say that over 80% or our customers do not add a mineral supplement to the diet. Bottom line is spend your money on better hay, add Renew Gold, Redmond Salt and clean water and you should be good to go. If you have a regional mineral issue, that should be addressed. An example would be the Pacific Northwest where Selenium is deficient. If that is the case, those issues always need to be addressed case by case since no feed product that is "balanced" will be so everywhere. No nationally sold feed can address a specific regional deficiency. In those cases added minerals may be an advantage.

Thank you Win for the reply, I am just now seeing it. That is what I will do, I do not add minerals to their feed but I do leave that and salt out free choice. I did some research and I believe my area of GA is Selenium deficient as well. I will have to look into getting my soil tested so I know what is needed.
