Hi! Just curious as to what you feed your pregnant mares? Favorite nutritional supplement?
Looking for opinions or tips/tricks I don't know about yet. I'm relatively new at caring for a pregnant mare - very fortunate to have a great vet - but always enjoy hearing different ideas.

We live in a selenium deficient area, so we feed LMF Super Supplement plus a cup or two of Strategy, along with grass/alfalfa hay and pasture grass/turn out. Our prego mainly gets the Strategy as a bonus for coming in off pasture to her run, but other than that we try to keep it simple. She will get the Pneumabort at 5, 7 and 9 mos., as well as other pregnancy guideline vaccines/de-wormers.

I’d be very careful with supplementing your mares. We usually only do the pneumabort shot. If you over supplement your mares, you can cause OCD in the foals. Just a good pasture is the best for Momma or full feed grass.
