| Coffee lovers come hither - what brand do you drink and how to you brew it? I have switched from Black Rifle Coffee to SM Roasters. Both Veteran owned. SM Roasters has more zip and donates all proceeds directly to Veterans. I was drinking Dunkin Donuts before switching to Black Rifle. What is your favorite brand and how to do brew it? I use just a general drip coffee machine. |

I'm not a coffee snob, and I detest paying $4-$5 for a cup of coffee. I hate feeling stupid because I don't know the difference between a venti and a grande, and I hate feeling unsophisticated because I'm not into macchiato mocha cinnamon peppermint pumpkin coffee. I hate stepping up to order a cup of coffee and being looked at by a barista like I'm a stupid hick because I don't have black horned rim glasses and I don't wear skinny fit jeans. Location: NE Texas | I'm a regular ol Folgers girl and have the Bunn slow drip brewer. My brother left me some Black Rifle coffee and it was pretty good, just not good enough for me to order online and justify the extra expense. I do refuse Starbucks though. Their regular coffee is too strong for me, even though i'm a bitter and black fan. One of our designers brought me their Americana blend one time and it was pretty tasty, but I refuse to support their business, pay their prices, or wait in the long lines for a simple cup of coffee. Honestly McDonalds coffee is pretty tasty I think if i'm on the go. |

Interesting. Black Rifle is good coffee but honestly I don't lik the image of the SOF Warrior being used to sell coffee. I think it that image is to be used than all the proceeds should go directly to a SOF Warrior Fund. We always drank Folgers and will probalby return because SM Roasters is pricey but they do so much good for our Veterans. Anyone try McDonalds brand coffee? |

| I like Folgers. Regular - medium blend. I'm to cheap for Keurig and those little cups. I'm too cheap for bought coffee such as Starbucks or others. I won't drink gas station coffee unless it's cappuchinno (which isn't coffee by my standards.) Not sure why I like Folgers....my real friend is Coffee Mate flavored creamers. |

Location: the end of the rainbow | All of them. I like all of the coffees. (Not really, I'm not a fan of folgers or maxwell house - but I will drink it if that is all that's available). McDonalds coffee & Black Rifle are both good. Some of the Starbucks blends are okay if you make them at home (especially if you grind the beans yourself). I like the Peet's coffee dark roast versions. And recently to change things up a friend got us some of the CrioBru which is cocoa beans that are roasted, ground and brewed like coffee. It's okay by itself but about half & half with a good dark roast coffee in the french press and it's a nice change to add a different flavor to your coffee that isn't sweet. We have a regular drip coffee pot w/ the single cup (k-cup) option on the side, a french press and an espresso machine. Just depends on what I feel like on what I use to make it. Since I've been working from home I brew myself a regular half pot in the morning but I try to only brew one cup in the afternoon (If a brew a half pot I'll drink a half pot) so I use the k-cup part of the coffee pot or the french press. If I'm still working from home come summertime I'm going to have to master the art of a good cold brew. I love iced coffee in the summer. |

Location: Down South | I love coffee and used to only buy beans and grind them myself. I never really stuck with a specific brand. If I saw a flavor in a bean I liked I would get it. Then I was just spending too much money on gourmet coffee beans. Now I buy plain old Folgers Black Silk. I use a drip coffee maker. Had a Keurig.... threw it away! Coffee was just ICK. Bought a percolator.... to me this is THE BEST flavor. Well I used it up/burned it up. Back to the drip coffee maker now. I have it on a programed timer. Some mornings I wake up well before the coffee has started dripping and I am nothing but mad because I have to wait for it to drip. Ha! |

It's Pretty good. I try to buy local when I can otherwise I buy from vitacost or target usually get kicking horse brand. |

There is a company in Gainesville TX that sells a pecan coffee and we get it medium grind so we can cold brew it in a mason jar with a custom cylinder strainer. And there is a local coffee shop in our town square that started selling coffee and they have some good, hand picked flavors - "Small Town" and "Lost City"....we have never been Folgers type - my husband and I like trying different things :) And brewing your own does end up being cheaper than the Latte's I used to get all the time at SB. We also like HEB Texas Pecan -- it's in pretty high demand around here. |

| Speaking of coffee... curious how you clean your coffee makers and pots... I have one that tells me when its time to clean... by flashing the "clean" sign at me about every few months. I use distilled or bottled spring water in my coffee maker only... our well water proved to be too hard for it. I use melita filters in it as well. Lately I've been using white vinegar to clean it. I run a few pot fulls thru it and then run plain water after. |

When I first purchased it, it came with this neat little water filter thing, I couldn't ever find a refill for it so I just removed it. Running a few pots of vinegar thru it seems to work, the flashing "clean" stops after I do it lol! I don't know.. |

I use to work for Starbucks, I can tell you it most likely was burnt. When I was in training, they told us to make the perfect pot of coffee with their coffee, the water had to be ice cold to room temperature. Most of the baristas either have never been told that or don't care, and put warm/hot water in to brew it. |

| I have no idea what kind it was but I tried a cup that was made at our church... they make it in a cast iron Dutch oven looking hanging pot out front when you walk in. It's cowboy church. Woweeeee! It was way to strong for me... I could barely keep my feet still during service. Then they told me there was 2 kinds of coffee available... the kind you drink and the kind you chew. I know which one I will avoid next time. Lately I've been buying some from a small grocery store called Wide awake coffee company. It's very good and inexpensive. |

Atta girls. I dropped Black Rifle. SM Roasters or MinuteMan Coffee. Every dime of SM Roasters directly supports veterans. |

If I'm grinding my own, then hands down, my favorite is 100% pure Kona coffee. It's flavorful without being bitter. Truly delicious coffee!!
With the Keurig, I like Folgers or Duncan Donuts with a spoonful of good South Dakota honey.
I won't pay the $$ for Starbucks, but Randy lures me in to work every day with a Venti Quad Espresso, 1 pump caramel. I have a bit of a problem with the need for caffeine. I gripe at him for doing it constantly....in between sucking it down, of course.
All of that said, I'll happily drink truck stop coffee also. As long as it isn't decaf and relatively warm, I'm up for it.
Yes! Kona is the best. I call it my velvet coffee. I like to use a French press and sometimes I add ground cocoa beans 3:1 ratio |

| I drink the ground Starbucks because my other half can get it really cheap through this workplace. We wouldn't drink it otherwise most likely. We get the Breakfast Blend and the Veranda. We have tried a couple of different brands. Thomas Coffee is a St Louis/Midwest brand. We used to buy that one a lot. Black Rifle was ok. Depends on the blend on what we like from them I liked the Silencer Smooth but the other half liked the Gunship and Free. I don't really care because I put so much creamer in mine most people would roll their eyes, but the other half drinks it black so he is pickier than I am on the brew. I have a Keurig and use a reusable k-cup and use ground coffee in it and that works really well. I found a lady on a women in ag FB group that roasted and ground coffee but I can't remember the name of the company. I wanted to get some. So if anyone knows what I might be talking about, let me know! |

Location: Sunnyland Florida | I really, really love coffee, since I was 16, and I guess I am really a coffee snob. First, since coffee is one of the most highly pesticided food products in the entire world, I always use Organic. Light roast is the best for your body, so I pick Organic Light Roast. Here are the 3 best I've tried lately: Caribou Light Roast Bulletproof Breakfast Blend (light roast) Kicking Horse Hola, Light Roast Wow, that was hard to admit and I feel like I need to attend a Tuesday night Coffee Snob Overcomer's meeting. Hope you try these coffees and enjoy!!

| Dunkin Donut's coffee is pretty good. I tried to save money and bought Aldi coffee....not worth the the savings at checkout! Black Rifle is expensive and since they are going public with a multiple billion dollar initial offering I don't feel the same about it. There are veteran coffee's we support like SM Roasters. Keep the coffee talk coming! |

| My hubby's family is originally from WY and this brand of coffee is located in South Dakota I believe but they had this brand when we visited for Christmas. Dark Canyon Coffee- https://darkcanyon-coffee.com/ They had Toasted Almond and Creme Brulee and they were amazing! I need to order some and get it shipped because it's hands down the best I've had! |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I'm not much of a coffee snob, but I like a good cup or two in the morning. I like it strong, sometimes with cream and sugar. I'm not crazy about designer coffees with all sorts of flavors, syrups, and creams. Coffee has been persecuted for a century. It's been blamed for mental illness, heart disease, ulcer disease, strokes, and various cancers. It's all bunk. Several studies have shown that coffee is safe. In fact, modest and even heavy coffee consumption is inversely related to mortality risk from cardiovascular disease. In other words, if anything, coffee is one of the rare things we consume that is good for you! |
