I switched to the 2xCool boots this year. LOVE THEM.

My only complaint is that the lettering on the inside of the boot (that says size, leg, etc) comes off very easily, even with the first washing.

But the boot design itself, love it.

For me it depends on the horse I'm using them on.  My older gelding interfers with himself slightly so the Classic Equine or Ed Wright leather splints are the only thing I will use on him, my big mare is so tall and so long cannon boned most boots don't fit her correctly so I use polo's on her. The other gelding the only boots I've found that fit him (he is big fetlocked but small connon boned) are the Iconolast.  They seem to be the only boot that conforms well to his legs without gapping .

I recently switched to TopHand brand boots. I've used Prof Choice, Classic, Relentless, and Weaver. TopHand keeps the dirt out and the legs coolest of all of them. I am really interested in the 2X Cool by Prof Choice, but I'm pretty set on TopHand right now!

I figured out my horse seems to fire a bit harder when I boot his back legs up with the extra tall iconoclast boots. I use the x2cool boots on his fronts or wraps .. if I have the extra time to do it. It's really a toss up between the iconoclast and the x2 .. I like them both.

I use the 2x cool and love them. The inside lettering does come off very easy. The velcro is really sticky though and they have held up well so far. I just wish they had a few more colors. Otherwise I use polos. I have an older set of PC elites and they don't stay up well at all but i mostly just use those for shorter schooling things not actual runs.
