I've been asked to submit a resume for a mare that could qualify for a stallion discount based on her accomplishments. She's a rope horse and there is no equistat for that, as we all know. This is making proving her entire LTE difficult.
Anyone that has had to provide a resume on a horse, do you have any tips? I can give a super close estimation for LTE...but not sure if I can provide documentation for each dollar won.
What are other things important to note on a horse's resume?

The only time I tried for a discount the owner sat and downplayed every possible thing and only considered the equistat winnings, even with several published wins of the mare. I don't think even the Colonial National or NBHA in general reported to equistat in her running years, not sure if NBHA reports or not now. I could have used my taxes to show her winnings yearly since I do break that out by horse each year. I really wish I'd just gone elsewhere with that breeding. I dislike any breeder who isn't going to somewhat support their stallions get (support as in verbal, or networking, not $$'s). This owner is about as friendly as a viper.

I would suggest that you look for stallion auctions for roping horses. I am sure there are some. I do suggest that you read the fine print and LFG etc. Sometimes there are chute fees and collecting fees and other stuff that may cause the breeding to cost more than if you just got a contract. I have had goid luck but I know who I am dealing with.

Just an update, I submitted what I had and was offered a great discounted price on the stud fee of this SUPER nice stallion that you all know but I am not sure I want to spill who it is yet. Anyone want to guess?
