| Hi all. I am thinking of getting a set of front and back iconoclast boots. Specifically, I have a mare who has torn hamstrings that are healed now, but she has an altered stride and footfall in the back. She still scoots and does great, but I am worried about long term support for her back there. Iconoclast seems to make the best supportive hind boot that doesn't get in the way too much.
Any experience with them? I'm ok if they wear out a little sooner, it's worth it to me if they provide her better support. Any other boot suggestions? |

Location: Texas | I know you said that you were ok with them wearing out sooner, but I have a like new full set and both hind boots already have a small tear just above the straps that go behind the fetlock in the back. I'll sell the set to you at a discount if you want to give them a try! |

Location: Up and over to the right | Love mine!! I got the fronts and they fit perfectly. The backs were either too small or too big :/ I guess he's in between sizes. But I love love mine! Not as bulky as traditional SMBS and I like the idea of the suspensory strap. I'd give them a try. |

Location: South MS | I have a mare that tore the joint capsule in her fetlock so I bought some - I am on my 3rd pair - love this and they support great
When you take them off after a run there is no dirt inside them from how good they fit |

| I have a question: I loved iconoclast when they first came out, but what have they changed with them lately, i bought 4 new sets and gave them away I hate them, they fell apart super fast and it seems like they just are not made the same, and they fit really different now, my gelding was a med in front before now hes an xl??? |

Location: Randolph, Utah | I just bought a full set of iconoclast, I bought them "used" but they have never been on a horse. I have a hind pair of the old ones that I like, I hope the new ones I bought fit my mare, they are mediums and that is what she wears in other boots. As far as how they hold up my old pair haven't been used much but seem to still be good. The new pair I bought haven't been used yet but the Velcro is really sticky. |

Location: Texas | Size medium the sides of the boots would barely meet/reach around my horse's legs. I went to larges and they get dirt in them and it seems the straps that go under the fetlock are too long. The little piece of velcro in the middle of the fetlock strap is always to the side and not under the fetlock. Guess my horses are between a medium & large size. |

| I very much like them. No dirt in them when you take them off either. You have to measure them differently then other brands. Check out their website on how to measure so you are sure to get the right size. My horses (15.3 and 16.1) wore size L SMB's but they wear an XL in the Iconoclasts. |

| I really like them. I like the extra support. Make sure to check with sizes because I know they can be different to size compared to other boots |

Location: Alberta Canada | JMO I would go with the Pro-Orthopedic boots instead. Same idea, better made & you can even get magnetic or ice inserts for them. I found the Iconoclast just weren't very well made. |

| I haven't tried them long term but I loved the look of them - they weren't super bulky. HOWEVER - my horse is a medium in CE's but a medium was WAY to small in Iconoclasts. Could barely even try them on. Thank goodness I got them for cheap or I would have been pretty mad. |

Location: Texas | My medium fronts fit every horse I have put them on. My large hinds fit perfectly on those same horses. They are average sized, 15.2-3 hand horses.
I know the first boots I bought years ago fell apart, but the newer ones I love. I haven't bought any since this time last year, and they are still holding up. Has their design changed in the last year? |

I don't think so. I'll be sure to measure - my mare is about 14.3 and the gelding is 16 at just coming three. I'm liking the reviews!! |

| I have a set of the large and they are just a little too big for my horse. I have the complete set in large, front, back and bells in black that have only been on a horse once if you are interested.
