Location: Oklahoma | I have a 1997 and LOVE it! Since they were bought by Exiss in 2003, the quality is not the same. I wouldn't buy a new one. I work near the place where they are built and have seen them... I've also toured the 4 Start plant and after seeing how they're made wouldn't hesitate to purchase a 4Star. |

Location: North Texas | I have a 2000 Saratoga 15' LQ, 4' mid tack, 3 horse and haven't had any trouble out of the trailer. Structurely. It has a Duster Camper conversion and have had to replace the AC unit and fix a module in the ref., and the generator was replaced in 2009 but other than that, nothing. Like others have said, the newer ones aren't built as good. |

I have a 2010 Sooner Legacy with 10 ft LQ and 4 horse etc. It has been a great trailer. The newer Sooners do look better than the older ones and it also depends on the model... as well as personal preference. They Sponsor KC Jones (NFR bulldogger) and he has one of theirs that he pulls many miles a year to rodeo and it holds up great.
I have had no problems with mine and enjoy it.

| I have never owned one personally, but from word of mouth I haven't herd very good reviews on them. The main problem I have herd of is leakage. When it rains the roof of the horse trailer leaks.
But again that's just what I have been told :) |

| They were bought by Universal Trailer company which also owns Exiss , featherlite etc- I believe Exiss and Sooner are mfg at the same facility in El Reno.
"In 2003, Sooner Trailer became the third member of the Universal Trailer (UTC) family of brands, the largest specialty trailer manufacturer in North America. Today, UTC produces a broad selection of cargo, horse, livestock, motor sport, snowmobile, ATV, motorcycle, concession, custom and specialty trailers. Its brands — Haulmark, Exiss, Sooner, Featherlite and Miley — are signposts on the Road to Excellence. "

| We have a 2001 Sooner that we bought used about 3 years ago. The people who had it had barely used it (there were still stickers in the shower), but my husband had rodeod pretty hard in it the past 3 summers and we have yet to have a single issue. Last year alone hubby traveled over 50 000km going to rodeos, and aside from one flat tire that trailer has never had a single issue. We'd own another one in a heartbeat. |

Location: Phoenix | We've had the same one for the last 15 years.....we haven't had any issues other than cosmetics and wear and tear. We've had to replace the dressing room door like 3 times but I've been know to leave it open in the 50 mph wind so it's all hard use....I've been considering one for myself because I know the brand. |

Location: Slipping down the slope of old age. Boo hoo. | I have a 2000 3-horse slant "big horse" with dressing room and back tack bumper pull I bought in December 1999. It is solid as a rock. It is as good as the day I picked it up at the dealer -- a terrific trailer. |

| So its sounds like if its pre 2003 i would be better off....darn the one i was interested in was a 2005 and now im scared...i just cant take the risk of mediocre quality... i had a 1999 sooner that was a great trailer but had to trade it off cause of virtually no LQ... i didnt know that they were bought out in 2003....ty BHW friends! I'm thinking i may have to just wait and save up for my bloomer , or elite.... |
