| I have a pair of nettles and I love them! I can ride in them for long periods without any ankle or foot pain like I had with the regular aluminum stirrups |

| I debated for a LONG time before I finally asked for some for Christmas last year - I like them so much I'm asking for another pair this year! They really help with my knee pain. I just got the plain ones - I think they are 2" wide and the cheapest spot I have found to get them is right from the Nettles' site - they were around $100. |

The Nettle stirrups are worth every peny and then some! My sister has very bad RA and she could only keep her feet in the stirrups for about 10 minutes and she had tried all kinds of crooked and slanted stirrups. I bought her a pair of Nettles and she said she can't believe how she is pain free with them.
As far as the levelers...I'm going to give them a try more out of curiosity since I'm also pain free when I ride in my Nettles. I have the half breeds and bought them from Rocky Road. Great prices and great customer service! |

Location: Texas | I was looking at Nettles stirrups at Teskeys a couple weeks ago, and the levelers are on kind of a swivel deal, and move back and forth. I'm not sure I'd like that because at any time, they could move from one spot to another.
I do love Nettles stirrups, even better than my twisted slanted stirrups. The Nettles don't have to slant - they work just fine straight.

Location: NW MT | I LOVE mine! They are all I use on any of our saddles too. They do have the "economy" ones for people that don't want to spend as much (but those are not available in all the styles), and then of course the Premier Line. We do have a sale on them for Christmas too. |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I need to get off my butt and get some of these. I have a horrible right knee - my ACL is gone, my medial collateral is gone, and my medial meniscus is in fragments. It really effects my riding in that I put more weight on my left leg, and some days I can't ride a posting trot. Everyone raves about these things.

I'm curious too! Which one is most common for barrel racers? |

Location: NW MT | First off, I am almost 2000 miles from my home, visiting my parents - dad has recently been diagnosed w/cancer - & my internet is very sketchy here (& time is busy too) so please - anyone who msgs me, I WILL get back to you, just maybe not as fast. :) Scott, I do really feel they would help you alot! For barrel racing, the 2 most popular are the Flatbottoms & the Halfbreeds. I do believe SG has the Flatbottoms & I know NTO has the Halfbreeds. If you want the best, w/o the "fancy", go w/either of them in the stained or the varnished. The difference the Halfbreeds & the Flatbottoms in the economy (besides you can't get the Halfbreeds in them) is the number of layers of wood. You will get more support plus the cushioning of the wood, in the Preimier line & they will hold up longer. The layers of wood is what give you the ease on your knees - there is that "give". If you are wanting some for other activities - since I am not sure how they would be for barrels, go with the Offsets - they are in a "heels down" postition & are soooo nice on knees & hips! Those are what we have on Greg's saddle & I want a pr of them now too! :) On width, it is a personal preference, but I probably sell more 2" for barrels in the Halfbreeds, which is the most popular too. (the Halfbreed is a combo between the typical flatbottom stirrup & the oxbows). I hope that helps! I am headed to my parents right now to do yardwork, etc but will be back on line tonite. |
