Location: Ohio girl moved to PA | I'm looking into applying and using it for a horse of mine. I just dont have the lump some upfront that i need and i dont want my boy hurting any longer. I want all the info you possibly have on carecredit. Is it as good/helpful as it sounds? Any hidden charges or "fine print" to watch out for? |

Great! i was a bit worried just because the friends i know that have it, dont have horses and have never had to pay a big bill with it like i will. haha Do you know if they increase the pay off time if its a larger amount ? I cant see them wanting paid off in 6 months if its a couple thousand dollar payment. I could be wrong though! Im hoping i can keep mine under $2,000 but we all know how vet bills can rack up. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | My Hubby's Mom used it for her Pre Cancer surgery because her insurance was taking to long to approve. She got the insurance to pay it off. Don't know how but she did. We have used it for my eye glasses before. I am legally blind by the standard but can see really well with my glasses.
My glasses start at around $500. So needless to say when I broke the only plastic frames I've ever worn I went back to metal frames. I cannot see to drive without my glasses so I had to get them in pretty quick which also was extra $. I paid it off pretty quickly. That interest rate is killer! |

I was researching the website and see they do have different monthly options but im guessing that depends on how much you spend as well. What do you mean that my vet will have a limit available? Sorry im new to this lol |

Location: Wherever the Army sends my husband | Β Part of it depends on the clinic and part of it the price. If its under $ 200 then you have one billing cycle (I want to say that is 28 days).Over 200 is 6 months or longer depending on the clinic. Some places will only offer the 6 month plan even if it is 2K. You will need to ask your clinic which plans they offer. |

| We used it and we were so glad to have it when we needed it.
Like the others have said, just make sure you pay it off before your promotional period expires. We had one year to pay ours off. If you do not pay it completely off within the specified period they hit you with ALL of the back interest! Which is a lot, so if you plan on using make sure you have a payoff plan. |

Location: So Cal | Your terms (interest and timeframe) are determined at the time you make the purchase. Different places will offer different "promotions". I paid about $2500 of my dog's surgery on CareCredit and had 1 year to pay it off with no interest. I made another, larger purchase a few months later and chose the option to have a few years to pay it with something like 14% interest.
Here's the one problem I had with them...
I made my 2nd purchase before the 1st was paid off. So, I had two purchases on the card which had different promotions on the purchases. The problem was, the minimum payment was not going to get my first (no interest) purchase paid off within the 1 year. BUT, when I paid more than the minimum payment, any overage was applied to the purchase with the higher interest rate. Apparently the ONLY way to apply a payment to a specific purchase is to talk on the phone with them. I did this SEVERAL times, and SEVERAL times had them not apply my payment correctly. Finally, about a month before my promotion time was up, I used the online customer service chat and was able to get the balance paid off. I hope that made sense. They really need a better system for that. If I hadn't been diligent in checking online on where my payments were applied, I would have been stuck with something like 25% interest to pay them. |

Same here. Always pay within 6 months (or specified time frame) for no-interest grace period. The interest IS huge, but I've used mine a LOT and have never had surprises, nor have I ever paid a dime in interest. |

Will use again next week for a $1500 myleogram. Horse is insured but all diagnostic stuff has to be done first, I pay and then pray insurance will pay. |

| Each office or facility that accepts care credit can choose which "plans" or terms they offer. I believe the last time I used mine the minimum for not paying the full balance was $150. So, if you know you are going to use it, and call the clinic or office of wherever and say, this is what i need to pay with, which terms will you offer for X amount of dollars. This is because the doctor/vet, etc gets LESS of your actual money if they allow you to pay it off in longer terms, so typically they want to offer you the least amount so they actually receive the most amount.
So, yes like the others said, pay it off in the time frame, and you're good. |
