I couldnt force to watch more than a few minutes. They literally make me ill.
I could see how, as a Republican, watching Michelle Obama's speech would make you sick. HaHaHa.....She owned it, by golly!!
You scared me for a minute... I thought you said she OWNED UP (to all the unethical and illegal things she has done). Whewww.... I was hating that I missed that! And, it's not just the speech that makes me sick... she makes me sick!!! |

I think Michelle and Hillary are sisters in a sense they think alike and just love bringing up race any time they get a chance too.
I agree. Everything is a black or white issue when it benefits them but then say that we need to be united when something bad happens.

| My blue collar, entrepreneur husband built the house I wake up in and I watch my boys do chores with our livestock and in our food garden and shoot targets with their BB guns with dad by their side. And when people "Go Low" our family "goes high" too, and we also talk "reality" and "why". She had to pull out the racism card, watching her children drive off to school with men and big guns. Guess what? Its the life you choose Michelle O. and its NOT about you, its about the american people. BUT I couldn't visually tell what country you were representing since there were no american flags or patriotic colors. Oh and that "fence" around your stage and the gating around the arena outside... did it keep things peaceful? |

| A good take on her speech:
I watched the Fox panel’s reaction to her speech right after it was over, and I’ll admit, it was a lot like mine. There was high praise for her delivery, her passion, her positivity, her emotional optimism. They marveled at the way she ripped Trump apart without ever having to even mention his name. Everyone agreed it was a really effective speech. And then after I sat through the horrific spectacle that was Bernie Sanders and finally got in bed, there was something gnawing at me about Michelle’s words. These words: So, look, so don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that somehow we need to make it great again. Because this right now is the greatest country on earth! I kept thinking about those words, how defiantly she spoke them, and then I was reminded of this:Her saying for the first time she was proud of her country. And this:And I thought, who does she think she’s kidding? In her next line of the speech, she said she wanted a leader who is “worthy of that truth” meaning she wants a leader who is worthy of the truth of America’s greatness. But it’s Michelle Obama herself who had no pride of country until she “woke up in a house built by slaves.” (And don’t even get me started on that.) It’s her husband who obviously didn’t think America was great at all, since he aimed to fundamentally transform it. Progressives are notorious for despising and criticizing the US, and for denying its exceptionalism. So yeah – it rubbed me really wrong that Michelle’s speech made it sound as though she and her husband corner the market on patriotism. That they corner the market on taking some sort of high road. That as much as she passionately talked about doing everything “for the children” and setting an example for her kids, she is represented by a clearly corrupt party, exposed as such this past weekend. She wants Hillary Clinton as president because Hillary “has never quit on anything in her life” as if staying at the side of a humiliating accused rapist, lying to protect him, and clawing her way to more and more powerful positions paid for by the American taxpayer is something worthy of admiration. Really? Michelle remarked on what it was like to send her girls off to school in black SUVs with “all those big men with guns” and yet she and her husband aim to undermine the 2nd amendment and cannot bring themselves to understand why every parent deserves the ability to protect their families. The more I let her words sink in, the more annoyed by them I became. Donald Trump, for all of his faults (and there are many) loves America. Watch interviews with him from decades ago. He hasn’t wavered on that. His love of country doesn’t depend on his personal circumstances, as Michelle’s clearly does. He knows America’s greatness, and anyone with half a brain understands that his campaign slogan isn’t about not thinking America is the greatest country on earth. It’s about restoring it to its rightful place as the shining city on the hill. The Obamas have been hell-bent on “fundamentally transforming” America into a European-style system. We’re not Europe. We’re not supposed to be Europe. We’re America. So yeah. Michelle looked beautiful. She was elegant, poised, and powerful and she delivered a speech that has everyone talking today. But I remember what she and her husband have said. I remember what they’ve done. I see who they support for the next president. I’m not with her. |

Being old and being brought up in the world of, "Do not talk about politics or religion," I do believe is why we are in such a mess. It's pretty hard when you close the barn door after you have left all the horses out. Maybe if the American people had become educated on what was going on in Washington, we the people, could have nipped it in the bud. |

Nope it's called getting old. I use phrases like "fair to middlin'" "can't do something for sour apples" "like a duck on a junebug" "how the cow ate the cabbage" "your porchlights a little dim" and the younger people at work look at me like "What!" |

Location: Eastern OH but my heart is in WV | I have to say, I am the opposite then most on here anymore. I enjoy the political post more than the usual repeated over and over horse posts. Don't get me wrong, BHW has educated and helped me learn so much about my equine partners, and will continue to do so, but it has also been just as educating in other areas of life. How truly educated SOME are concerning politics and events of this country is refreshing. I will be the first to admit I am not as knowledgeable, as some, but I want to be and I want to make smart decisions to my voting process.
As for the DNC, I REALLY, REALLY can not stomach listening to Michelle, Hillary or most liberals speak. I am not lying when I say Obama, Michelle and Hillary make me skin crawl. I truly find them to be evil. I shudder to think if the democrats and Hillary were so under handed to beat Birney what are they capable of doing to beat Trump? Murder is not beneath the Clintons. I honestly CAN NOT wrap my head around if any person took two hours to educate themselves about Hillary's path of destruction, how could they possibly vote for her?
I am sure Michelle "brought down the house" because that has been the last 8 years with the Obamas. Words of "gold" to those who feel "everything is owed to them," but I don't ever remember living in a time of so much division and hate. Even the serpent in the Garden of Eden made the "prize" sound so tempting to woman and man but the results were pure devastation of paradise. This country better wake up before it is to late to ever turn back.

| Something I noticed in great contrast between Trump and Hillary.
She blames wall street, white people Republicans and basically points the finger at Americans for all the problems.
He blames regulation and bad decision making ie the government! |

Hillary is going to have a talk to us white people. I would love to have a talk with her. I'm tired of paying taxes to support illegals, people who chose not to work and food stamps. Then the government has the nerve to tell us they are running out of Social Security money, you know, the money Congress stole to take care of their pet projects. I've never heard any politician say we are running out of money for hand outs and food stamps. I'm so sick of the politics as usual on both sides of the aisle and I hope all of them are shaking in their boots worried about Trump getting elected and shaking up their shake down of the American people. |
