We had a pretty good day.  Ryon was feeling some better.
He exercised on the Ricshaw that Casey made for him today.  (Ryon says that is crippled folks weight bench. lol

One day at a time.

We just got home from the Dr. in Texarkana.  Ryon is doing fine.
Then to Dillards to find him some shoes.......feet are swollen, so that was tricky.

By the time we got home, he was car sick and neck hurting......better now.......theres no place like home!

Just finished reading all the news & catching up!  So glad Ryon is home!!  That's wonderful news and the tingling - wow!!  I am so happy for you to see progress so quickly and will keep praying for it to continue.  I also hope his blood pressure will even out soon so he can finish his daily workouts.  Patience, patience, patience....   GOD BLESS YOU!!

Yes, wimpyb, patience.  We are sure learning that one around here.

Ryon had a good morning...........but has not felt well since around 5pm.  I know he probably just needs to get some rest, but he won't go to bed.

On a positive note,.....he is getting more "feeling" in his back and stomach.  (really all over)  He knows when I touch a foot, etc.   We are really excited about it!  Thank You Lord!

I guess I took your advice lookout hill, I laid down and slept for 2 hours today.  (I never take naps.....so that gives you and idea how tired I was.)  I told Ryon to wake me up in 1 hour, but he just let me sleep. lol

Just wanted to pop on quick and check up on you and Ryon, De.  I've not been on lately, but I wanted you to know that I think of you all so very often and lift you all up in prayer to our Merciful God.

Quick update.........we are having a lazy Sunday.  Ryon is doing good.  Getting more finger movement, still not much strength in hands, but we know we have to start somewhere.  We are so thankful!!!

We have bought Ryon a handicap van.  It is in great condition.  It is such a blessing to be able to travel with no hassels.  It does make him car sick but he is getting better with every ride.

Ryon's manuel wheel chair came in, we picked it up at rehab Friday.  He will use it around the house to help strengthen his arms.

Thank you for all the continued prayers that are going up for Ryon!  Please keep praying!!

Know that Ryon continues to be in my prayers.  That journey of a thousand miles begins with one step and it sure sounds like Ryon has already taken more than that first step.

CurlyQ - 2011-04-04 7:35 PM many prayers, i check for updates everyday. good to see you post.

The wheelchair made it!!  It got here yesterday morning, I have just been too busy to post.   And guess what..........we are not sure it is gonna work.   I was going to take it to rehab with us today to see if it could be modified, but we were having lift problems on the van, so did not get a chance to take it.  (lift problems seem to be battery, so hopefully an easy fix)   the chair is a "mobility chair" and not a wheelchair.  It is like a Hovearound that you see on TV.  He cannot use his Rojo cushion with it unless he gets a different seat,....if he can.  So we are still trying to figure out how we are going to make it work.

Ryon is doing good!  We are still doing the Reflexology on him, and he is getting more movement in his fingers.  Still no strength, but he is getting better at picking up things.  Also, his left hand was completely lifeless, but now he can move his thumb and pointer finger.  So things are looking better.  He is also getting more feeling everywhere.  he feels his feet, certain parts of his legs, and some places in his stomach.  Yes, we are excited about this!!

Everyone please continue to pray..........we are only 7 weeks out, and still have lots of healing to do!
