Chancey had another bad day in the beginning yesterday - she has contracted "C Diff"  seems as antibiotics somewhat sterilize the gut and bad bacteria takes over - she is on medication for it but it too sometimes makes her sick.   She ate some yogurt and it did make her feel a bit better.   She is weak from lack of nutrition and they have put her back on IV fluids.   Pray for strength and healing.    Spirits remain good and sense of humor is AWESOME - I believe after all of her trials her new endeavor would be a comedy show.

I'm so sorry to hear she has c-diff.  Mom had that one time, and it was terrible....will make you weak QUICK!  Glad they are on top of it.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers!  May our Lord bless Chancey with a quick recovery from this c-diff.

Chancey is feeling great today - eating good and feeling spunky. I did hair and make up and did a good job on make up - so so on hair according to her. She is a hair dresser so this is no surprise. Thanks for all prayers - they say she is getting over the C diff really fast - I call it Gods works!

Just have to say... That even up here in Montana Chancey has touched my heart. I follow her updates everyday on caringbridge. Sometimes, I'll just be driving and I'll think of Ms. Chancey and say a prayer. Thank you for sharing her story with me. Love to you all...kcm

Chancey is really feeling good today - was up and at em' when I got here this morning - had a physical therapy session early today and another this afternoon.   Her appetite is increasing daily which is making her feel better - IV was removed and smaller Trach tube put in that is more comfortable for her.   I passed my first suction test today - she was a good study and said I did OK.    Her spirits remain GREAT as well as her faith

Yesterday was somewhat of a frustrating day for Chancey - she had her occupational therapy class to learn to feed herself - Let's just say we hope yogurt is good for the skin.    She finally got some of it figured out but it was frustrating for her - She made the statement that 6 weeks ago she would have laughed if you would have asked her to do it because it was SO simple.   However - the bright side - she bared down - dug deep and got serious and never quit trying.   Her persistant relentless nature will win this battle I am sure.   She never used the "C" word (can't) - she stated - "I am having difficulty".   I read on the wall here in the hospital this morning  ----- "The only disability in life is a bad attitude."   by Scott Hamilton.   He must have known Chancey.

I knew that Chancey girl would be "gritty", she is an Oklahoma barrel racer. :)
Yes, the eating thing can be a challenge, but I know she will be sucessful! Ryon is doing better, but struggles sometimes to hold his fork or spoon...and prefers a spoon if the food he is eating allows it.

Continued prayers for Chancey! Tell her she makes us proud!!! (hug her for us!)
