Anna Bagshaw is one of the "tuffest", kindest, most incredible young ladies to ever enter the sport of barrel racing. She truely is one in a million. This year at the National High School Finals rodeo I was extremely sick with mono..Anna took care of all 5 of my horses for me every day. It didn't matter rather they needed fresh water or exercised, I knew I never had to worry because she would have it covered. Pretty amazing for a 7th grader. I came into the short round leading the all around because of Anna. There's no way I could've done it without her help. Gunny and Anna were a wonderful team and it breaks my heart to read their story. That experience is nothing anyone should have to go through, especially a little girl. Anna is definitely COWGIRL TUFF!

Doesn't bother me that I'm in the same age group! Anna's story touched me deeply.. One of my first barrel horses passed from a heart attack, one of the worst moment in my life.. I am blessed to have my gelding, Chevy now (Nikki Berg and Chevy), but I will never forget, Ozzie, he was awesome!

I've seen Anna Bagshaw compete since she was probably 4 or 5 years old and I remember one summer she was riding with a cast on one arm - but still winning - on a little bay pony. I literally cried when she lost Gunny because that is every barrel racer's worst nightmare and not something anyone so young should have to go through. But ya know what, the next time I saw her, she was kicking butt on another horse. One of my favorite pictures I've ever taken was of Anna and my youngest brother at a horse show when they were probably 6 or 7 years old. She was sitting on her horse, he was on the fence and they were leaned toward each other talking about something with big smiles on their faces. It is actually framed on the wall at home and every time I see it I think about how they were such good friends that summer even though he was trotting through the patterns and she was going full speed. I used to tell him he needed to hurry and snap her up before she became a famous barrel racer! LOL

You might try clicking the thumb when you go into it, be patient, it sometimes take a little bit and it should turn back white, at least that is what has happened on our home computers. Then you should be able to click it again to go back red. Hope it works.

Voting ended on the 18th. Results will be announced as soon as they are verified by the official Carol Wingate sometime next week. She has to validate the tabulation in person.
