Location: OK | I'm not sure, but we have a lot of fleece pads. We love them. They are REAL, not fake fiber. Anything fake has alot of synthetic fibers in it, like girths that are not real mohair, etc will get hot.
Think like if you shred a plastic bag, press it out into fabric and put it on, it's still just plastic.
If you're gonna get wool or fleece, make sure it's natural fibers only.
It's like the difference between a 100% cotton t shirt and a 100% polyester t shirt. The polyester will burn you up because it doesn't breathe well. |

Location: NW MT | I can't see how the fleece would "not cause dry spots but the wool would" ... that doesn't make sense. Now - they advertise that their "wool" pads are 100% wool & they are not, so yes - you are getting synthetic in them, & that would cause more heat. I don't think their fleece ones are 100% wool/sheep fleece either, so can't see how that would be any better?? |

Location: OK | I haven't used this actual brand of pads, but the only thing I can see being better about it is, some fleece pads are piled real deep I guess you could say, really fluffy, so that might fill in some low spots on a horse's back better than wool or felt would if the wool or felt is a little harder. I've had some really nice soft felt and I had one given to me that I could knock on and it sounded like knocking on a door lol. Threw THAT in the trash. |

Location: OK | And regardless of advertisements of every pad I've ever ever tried, when I ride, ALL my horse's backs are wet. I've never had a pad keep a horse's back dry. I've had some be cooler than others I think but never really dry. |

| To elaborate. I love the fleece bottom because my gelding is very thin skinned and sensitive. He feels and works great in it. Now if only I can get a saddle to fit too we will be golden. |
