We all have an opinion on what is best for our horses but what.are the benefits of keeping them in a stall other than to keep them prettier?? This is NOT referring to horses that need stall rest for medical conditions.

I don't think there are any. Horses are designed to be outside moving around and grazing. I like to put mine in stalls to feed them, just to keep them separated and prevent them from squabbling, but other than that I want them out, moving freely with their heads down in the position that is most natural for them.

I say let them be a horse and stay out in a pasture.
My good mare had a short career because I wanted her to be pretty and slicked off. She got to go outside once a week and graze. She had ulcers and arthritis. I blamed it on being stalled too much. She only lasted running barrels until she was 12. So from now on I turn all of mine out. They stay sound and sane!
