I've decided on a saddle, Pozzi-wide fit and it fits my horse good. Just wondering if cowboy Christmas during NFR would be a good place to purchase? Are saddles on sale or are prices jacked up? Would there be lots to choose from? This is my first time going to NFR. I'm so excited.

Buy from a dealer. They give you a better deal than straight from Double J. Generally 10% discount from full retail. Double J wll have their fanciest of fancy saddles at the NFR and you may just "gasp" at the prices of some of them. At least I did :) They will have some plain janer's too but they really show off the upper crust of their saddle line.

we have bought 3 or 4 saddles in vegas...all custom done so had to wait for a few months for them to get shipped home, most of the saddle guys will give you some kind of deal especially off the rack....have a blast shopping,

Own It and Move On

Especially if you are going the last weekend... Don't be afraid to make an offer for less than the asking price. They might laugh at you, but they might take it to avoid having to take the saddle back home.
