I know there's more options than this so feel free to add, but focusing specifically on joints, what are your favorites? I know a lot of people have jumped on the curost bandwagon lately, but i'm not 100% sold. Any dramatic differences you've noticed? What are the duds? I know there are different kinds of joint supplement from brand to brand focusing on different issues but I just wanna hear what brands everyone likes!

I have used both. I used the AE and Cur Ost for different reasons. I used the AE for detox but noticed my horse moving easier. He looked and felt good on it . I had health problems and quit riding so I quit feeding it. I am using the Cur Ost to help with digestive and inflammation issues. He is more focused mentally, freer moving in his joints and has much more flexibility through his body, especially his back. His feet have also improved in quality.
I have used Cosequin in the past with no appreciable results. I got better results with Cortaflex.

It's no secret that i'm a Cur-OST junkie, as i've seen first hand what it has done for my horses. These products are proactive rather than reactive....meaning that the pain we have in joints is due to arthritis. Arthritis is a result of inflammation. The Cur-OST products are formulated to manage inflammation and maintain a healthy immune response. Through management of inflammation in the body, the progression of arthritis is reduced, and the pain from the boney change already there is reduced, therefore we're not just treating the issues that are already present, but are also reducing the risk of increased boney change through the reduction of the inflammation which causes it. The Cur-OST treats the source of the issue to prevent further deterioration rather than band-aiding the issue that is already present.
The support given to each of us by the company, Nouvelle Research, is second to none. Dr. Schell is accessible and a wealth of knowledge and willing to share it. There is no task that he is unwilling to tackle or help with. I love the fact that he posts on the secondvet forum and answer our questions there, no matter how silly they are. The horses he has helped that were given up on, like mine, is mind blowing. I know of at least 5 horses just from those that have shared their results with me that have been able to go back to work thanks to these products.

If you have confirmed arthritis via radiograph I 100% believe in Pentosan. Easy too!
Plus my fussy horse doesn't have to eat the stuff-good thing he doesn't have a middle finger
He despises anything added to his feed.

If you haven't tried the THE JointFLEX you really should give it a try. I noticed a difference with my horses and I am very happy.
