I am 19 and find nothing wrong with you wanting to use a fringe breastcollar! I think it is pretty awesome actually :) I think you should use whatever makes you happy, no matter what age, life is way to short to worry about what others think! Best of luck :)

I am over 50, too and while fringe is not my thing, I think you should use what makes you smile. You have worked hard to get where you are, so enjoy yourself.??

After 50 no one will question your choice of fashion...it is sort of expected.
I'm almost there and afraid I will dissapoint that notion...I'm very low key in that department.

I've been looking at the fringe too.... and I'm in my mid forties...
I think there are some very classy looking breast collars and others seem like they would fit better in a strip club than a barrel race...
I have a couple of horses that would look great in classy fringe (one mare that would probably pick the stripper fringe if given the choice) and a gelding that just could not pull that off.

Go get you some fringe, but stay classy!! Have fun with it!!

Personally I'm not in the fringe-thing, but hey, if you like it then go for it. Like Jake16 said, your money, your choice!!
Have fun and show us what you decide on!!

I say go for it!

I'm young, and prefer plain tack over anything flashy.

I haven't jumped on the fringe bandwagon but I have found a set that I am seriously considering. I'm in my 30s and only run 2 and 3D times but I don't care. I will ride in whatever I like.

I see tack as a way to express your self. Your style, your personality. Everyone likes something different and that's why there are SO MANY successful tack companies. Buy what makes you happy!

I'm 27. Hubby bought me a fringe set. I was a little skeptical at first. It just seemed so "showy", and that isn't my style. But it sure is pretty. And I'm excited to use it. Go out there and rock whatever you want. Anyone who wants to be judgemental is focusing their energy more on you than their own game anyways.

Here is a little story my aunt experienced just last week....
My aunt took my grandma shoping the other day. She sat earlier in the day went over everything in her kitchen and made out a grocery list of things she needed. The went to the store and as they were shoping my grandma went over grabed a bottle of tequila, and some margarita mix. My aunt asked her what she was doing and something to the line of that not being on the list...and my grandma replied "I'm 93 years old I can get what ever I want"
If you want fringe...get fringe!!! Make it suttle or make it bold what ever you want!

You just do you! After age 21 you can do and buy whatever makes you happy ;)! Teskeys has a really nice fringe breastcollar that was neautral tones for $60. I wanted to do the fringe thing too but load colors are not my thing so I bought the neutral colored one and have gotten a bunch of compliments on it!

I love the pulling collar styles and found these, they are so cool looking, I wonder how they would look on a horse..Now I want one, lol..

I am also over ummmmm, 40 and 30 and 20 and......

Personally I don't care for the fringed breast collars.....or the excessive bling...or painted tack. But that is MY opinion and you should really care what I or anybody else thinks. It's YOUR horse, YOUR money, YOUR run. You should do what YOU like.

That is one of the few perks of growing older, you learn to not care what others think and do what you want. The only thing that I look forward to in getting older is getting to be that eccentric old lady who says and does whatever she frickin wants to. I figure that I will do things just to drive other people batty.

Edited to add. That Over 40 mug in my cupboard is looking mighty nice....it's almost old enough to have alcohol in it.....

I bought fringe for my horse, I'm almost 40 and this is his first year hauling and all I want to do is survie.  LOL.  But might as well look good doing it right?
