| NJJ - 2018-08-22 9:46 PM want2chase3 - 2018-08-22 4:10 PM Here we are going to open house at the school tonight! Jacob has gotten the clearance from his dr to return to school. I feel like I should be more excited but in all honesty I feel like crying! Part of me is so happy for him but the other part is terrified. Weird huh? I know his immune system isn't where it should be and I'm counting on him getting sick pretty often. I talked with the principal and they are putting him on a special program where him being absent won't count against him regarding the states rules for attendance. He will have day long drs appointments monthly for a while too. Next Monday is going to be a tough day as I drop them ALL off for the first day of school. I know itll get easier it's just scary for this mom. I cant believe how quickly this all happened but I'm so grateful for our blessed outcome! I got his schedule last week and I see his principal put Jacob in with all his best friends in homeroom (poor teacher lol!) My emotions are so up n down lately im sure I sound like a whiney butt! I got so used to him being home, but hes ready to return to some normalcy and be with his friends and teammates at school. The school staff is beyond excited to have him back and his classmates are elated! Now for myself, I wanted to return to work but we decided to wait until at least the end of the year to make sure all is well with his future scans and whatnot. So I'm going back to my gym to start training again and I am dead set on getting the 2 horses legged up and hauling. Keep my mind busy and focused! Aw heck .... you are just in "mommy mode" ..... of course, you will be worried and apprehensive! Cut yourself some slack .... Getting back to the gym and keeping yourself busy will be your best bet!!!
ditto god is the healer
so happy for you |

| I couldn't be more proud or feel more blessed at this moment! Jacob and his teammates won their first baseball tournament of the year this weekend. They went 5-0 and played their little hearts out! Jacob's first game back too. He can barely keep a straight face right now, hes so happy! |

| Funny backstory on that bat... it was the ONLY bat they had that was considered "legal" for them to use, so they all had to share lol! Different divisions have different rules I guess.. even with 1 bat we still won! |

| A little update on Jacob, hes doing awesome! We are already coming up on the 1 year mark of when we had that amazing benefit for him. I cant believe how quickly time is flying by! Hes doing so well in school hes right on track to go onto the 5th grade. Teachers are so proud of him since he basically missed his entire 3rd grade year at school. I'm thrilled to report The Holland Hornets 10u baseball team is currently undefeated, they are playing so well and Jacob is right there like he never missed any time playing. Hes looking forward to playing football next, I'm not going to lie, I'm so nervous for him to play but hes insisting and his drs said he is good to go, no restrictions! His "little" bro, Colt, (my youngest son) had played pee wee football last year and learned so much and he turned out to be quite the player. Colt tells me not to worry because he will be out there with Jacob and he will make sure to protect him lol! Theyll get to play together on the same team this year. Heres a recent pic of my boys Colt & Jacob they were all happy because they had just gotten "really cool" haircuts yesterday lol! |

Unless you are a baseball mom, you will never know the struggle to find the "right" bat! So many rules and they all look the same to me, lol. Some are just as expensive as a really nice bit! |

Oh Lord, I know! Now both my boys are playing baseball this year. No one knew anything about their "bat rule" not even the refs ... turns out the coach from the opposing team complained about our bats not being compliant lol! I dont understand but whatever... they still won lol! |
