If you're talking about me, sorry to disappoint, I've been here since the "good old days". It's ALWAYS been like it is now. I wasn't trying to be snarky. It may have come out that way. But trust me there wasn't any snark in my intent.

Oh no know the tone of your posts and appreciate that you always add to the conversation!

Your right tho it's always been like this...it seems more so now. Sorry for the off topic OP.

I like to amuse myself by giving ppl on here voices these days that liken queen Elizabeth in the crown.

I like to be factual. If I see anything that's not factual I have a need to correct the false information.

On topic, there are at the very least a handful of FG sons that are making stellar sires. Even more that could be if they were better known. I have a daughter of FG that is a wonderful producer. Her babies are like gold to their owners. They just keep winning and winning. Maybe I should call the next one Donald... hmmmm lol

I have owned three FDFs so far and have a rebreed for this year.

1st one easily sold as a yearling and has made a nice 2D horse who is really taking off in the roping pen

2nd one I got as a 5YO and as a 7YO with me hauling her has won 1D money and sold for what I wanted.
https://youtu.be/RzSXE1Rhzic

3rd one is the one I'm hauling now. Shes a 4YO out of one of my best mares, who filled my permit and has a 1D record at the big stuff.
As a late 3YO she ran a 1D money earning time out of 150 horses her second time to enter a race. She hit a barrel to clock in the 1D first go of the ultimate futurity in Edna. Second go she ran green. After that, she's been 1D 3 out of the last 4 runs (2D run the other). She won her first barrel race (by almost 0.2) last weekend, outrunning 160 horses.

I'm going to throw a young FG son out only because I've been around him and think he is one to watch. Plus, his maternal side is of course strong.

Guys Canyon Moon

Jolene M. has a foal out of him this year and owners Mike S. and Kelly S. have many more on the way out of nice proven DTF mares.

Def one to watch!

MerryLegs - 2018-02-22 1:17 PM I am voting for Fab hands down....have ridden a lot of them so I feel like I have a good reading on them.  Every single Fab I have ridden has been gritty, turny, want to please type horses.  Cute personalities, very curious, but want to work.

Not sure if everyone does realize that.   Dinero is actually a full-brother to Frenchman's Guy.

No Dinero is not a full brother to FG

Word! RIght now I think BHR FS and Fab are in an equistat race currently thats neck and neck, if your talking barrels only.

not if you remove the outlier.

BHR is nice, but Fab has a bigger sample set and the more succesful sire.

For the uninformed, what is an outlier?

I know right

I didn't even mention GoodFrenchmanFriday whose the leading money earner.

We have another "outlier" making a big splash!

I totally forgot Grandiose Guy because he was a nice consistent futurity horse not a stand out but him and Craig just smoked a 13.7

Just couldn't resist

Fab was wayyy more foals on the ground for sure and more disciplines fo sure but BHR FS is barrels alone and over 1 million.

Which outlier? BA Tee It Up In My Sox, Kiss This Guy, Don't Judge My Sox?

exactly! Frenchies Socks has more earnings per starter if the stats I looked up are correct. Both are nice sires, but of the 2 I think BHRFS is going to continue being popular.

From BHR fb this morning. “ Too cool not to share! BHR Frenchies Socks has OFFICIALLY passed Frenchmans Fabulous on Equistat! We don't like to be negative and aren't taking away anything from FF but this is special! And check out the numbers! BHR FS 1.3 million and it took 79 horses to get there and FF 1.25 million and it took 159 horses to get there! 2018 was one for the record books and we look forward to 2019's breeding season! Books will open this fall! Thank you to everyone who played a hand in making this happen! It takes a village and we are thankful for each and everyone out there! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!”

Also want to add the winnings from FL state show and many from June have not been added.

Breeding an Oklahoma Fuel daughter out of a Rocket Wrangler mare.

Looking for an FG stud that is proven himself and has get that is proven only! Marketability is also a plus!

Anyone have any experience with the following sons (open to hear others if not mentioned):

First Down French

Frenchmans Fabulous

Frenchmans Easy Doc

OR would PC Frenchmans Hayday be a better option (NOT FG)?

If I have listed the stallion, they are in my budget.

I don’t know where you are, but there’s a nice own son of FG in east Texas. Nice stud. Same breeder also has owns sons of FDD and Dinero.
