I have one and I love it. I did have a couple of small issues with it when I bought it but SMC took care of them right away.

This thread was from a few months ago so I am wondering if anyone else has experience with this brand since the original post.  :)

I have a 2 horse with an 8' Laramie LQ. It has the sofa up against the gooseneck wall and I love the floor plan. No complaints - it's an awesome trailer!

I have never seen one in person, so therefore cannot form an opinion. Time will tell. They look very nice and are supposed to be quality, high end trailers. However, I saw that they were owned by Lakota and that turned me off a little. Mid range brand, branching off to build a high end brand is a little far fetched.

Owned a Lakota.

Sold a Lakota.

Wouldnt touch an SMC.

At first - I loved my Lakota.  We don’t put an obscene amount of miles on a trailer, but we use them.  2-3 weekends per month going 2-5hrs away on average probably during the summer.  Way too many issues for a brand new trailer - a lot cosmetic (2 adults, didn’t even have kids beating up on stuff), issues due to improper installations (shower leaking, fridge improperly installed, wiring problems), and things that made me question the overall integrity of the structure like my drop down windows not closing properly (also a safety issue as another friend with a Lakota had this issue and ended up with staples in her head when one fell open on her.)

I also saw a dealer post some really sketchy information on Facebook a while back during the CDL debate about how Lakota was changing how they label the GVWR on their trailers to not include the pin weight, just the axles so that your GVWR would likely stay under 26,000lbs - which is great until you load a trailer down for a trip and get stopped and dinged for being overweight from what your labeled for!  That just seemed really sketchy sketch to me.

Nope.  I’ll stick with buying used higher end brands.
