Can everyone give me their opinions on Firewater Flit and Sun Frost Wonder horses? I am interested in a filly with them on their papers and want to get an idea of how she’d turn out. Thank you!

I have no experience with Sun Frost Wonder horse’s, but I have 3 “grandkids” of FWF. For my two that are finished, they’re babysitter type horses. Very forgiving, but still very competitive. They do exactly what I ask, go exactly the speed I ask, and go exactly where I put them. I make a LOT of mistakes, but they continue to try to please. I’m not “ruining” them with my mistakes. They are by no means dead heads.
Holding both of them back, they both run in the 3D and have WAY more to give (I’m just not ready).

I owned a gelding out of SFW and he was a dream. Super easy to break, born broke and smart! As a 4 yr old my kids could ride him around, nothing much ever bothered him and he took everything in stride. Super ratey on the barrels. I'd own another in a heart beat. I have 2 fillys that are frenchman's guy/ PC Bronsin bred and they are the same way.

Love firewater flit horses! I agree very easy to train & forgiving! I don't know anything about the other. We did run against a stud in tough HS rodeo. I believe his name was Firewater Frost- both that u are asking about. He was quiet & was outstanding in barrels & ran low 20s on the poles. The Melvins own & rode him- you can look up his videos.

My two older ones have the BEST minds!! There is absolutely no stupid in them anywhere.
The 3rd is a yearling so we’ll see how she turns out....
My 11 year old son just rode my 5 year old mare for the first time last week. He doesn’t ride at all, but he was trotting her around and even asked her to canter a couple times. First time he had ever cantered.
When he was done, I got on and worked her and she worked well.
My 11 year old gelding will be who my non-horse husband rides if we ever go on trails.
I fully trust both of mine to take care of their rider.

After my first, I sought out the second FWF. And obviously the third as well.

Gelding is by Nik Dell out of FWF daughter
Mare is by Firewaterontherocks out of DTF daughter
Filly is by Firewaterontherocks out of DFP daughter

I had a SFW daughter. HAD..... She was sweet, easy going, athletic and drop dead gorgeous. BUT I could not turn her out with other horses. She would attempt to kill them. Not all the times but when that crazy thing flipped her switch, she was dangerous. She almost killed my old mare. We didn't know she had issues. They had been turned out together for a few days when I came out one morning to feed and found my old mare beat to hell. Ripped her throat open, hematomas on both flanks, broke her tail, and tore the muscles on both sides of her tail. I almost lost her. Luckily she survived but she was pretty tore up.

I will NEVER own another SFW. EVER. The final straw was when she almost kicked me in the head going after another horse. That was one of the most athletic suckers Ive ever swung a leg over and I got the one that had a box of screws loose.

Now FWF, I owned several grand daughters and LOVED them. They are user friendly and such cool horses.

My new Love is a SFW granddaughter on her dams side.  She is the sweetest girl ever!  I finally got her home 3 weeks ago and didn't know what to expect when it came to pasture manners since she's always been stalled in her life.  I put her in with Boy at first since everyone loves the Boy.  They got along great!   But, the Boy is a fatty and started sharing her meals so that didn't work.  I have now put my yearling filly in with her.  This morning the yearling was sniffing Love's tushy and flysheet and Love just looked at her like "go back to your food, fool!"  She has not shown one bit of aggression toward another horse.

She is a lady on every front.  No panic, no sillies, no bs.  Looks but doesn't react. I have never imagined such a well put together 4yo with her high powered pedigree.

crazy! I'd just say she has a screw loose. This one we have been breeding is the kindest mare ever. Probably the easiest outside mare I have ever had. Loves the other horses next to her and she has a colt at her side.

My really good friend runs a SFW daughter. She's a tremendous athlete. Held a futurity arena record for awhile, won several futurities, derbies, 300+ runner jackpots and placed at pro rodeos. And the mare is only 7 this year. She can be a little quirky about certain things, but loves her job and my friends kids ride her around the arena.

I really liked the one I had. Until she tried to kill Jazz then almost kicked me. I loved hauling her. So smart and athletic and had a great head on her shoulders. She was BIG too. Like 16.1 big. But when she wanted to hurt another horse, she would. Jazz also never went out of heat the entire time I had her. 3-4 months I believe it was. She did have a uterine infection that I had treated right after I got her. When I sold her, a family bought her for their 9yr old daughter. They just clicked. But I stressed to them DO NOT turn her out with anything. I still talk to them and they love her. She was just that good natured under saddle. I wish her attitude towards others had been better and I wouldn't have sold her.
