Looking to buy a newer possibly new lq trailer. Seems like everyone has a bison right now what do you think of them? Also what are some brands to stay away from? Also brands that really hold up well?

Read the post below on Lakota trailers. They list the best and worst brands on there. Bison I have heard are the Lower quality trailer.

I would have put Bison below Lakota until recently, now I’m not so sure. Still couldn’t give me one.

We’re starting to keep our eyes peeled for the right deal and we’re not going to cheap out this time, it’s not worth the headache imo, but we probably haul harder than some folks too, not pro rodeo hard but about every weekend April-October and often several weeknights through summer.

I just bought a new all aluminum Sundowner 3H with 8' short wall LQ. I LOVE IT. I know that they get a bad rep, but it pulls great & didn't break the bank.

I would steer clear of Bison. They have changed hands so many times in the past few years - just scary to me.
If you are looking for a good mid range priced one, I would look at Sooner, Featherlite, Sundowner; Merhow - probably a few others but those off the top of my head.

Shop around.... I’m sure everyone could attest to a bad experience with one particular brand or another... I’ve had several brands Over my lifetime and currently have a Bison coach that I bought new at NRS in 2015... not a lick of trouble or anything in three years of hauling it hard.. custom ordered mine the way I wanted it and it was delivered on time as expected. I’d buy another. I do know they changed the structure of their company several years ago but since they took over their own living quarter manufacturing they’ve been great. They are the largest manufacturer of living quarter trailers now. Compared to other trailers I’ve had this is my favorite but it’s also the first one I had built the exact way I wanted ... I will say too NRS trailers in Decatur was fantastic to work with and they sell several brands of trailers - hands down recommend them they make the process easy...

I've owned  Logan, Merhow & now an Exiss.  I drug my Merhow around for 17 years and only had normal wear and tear.  I felt like it held up pretty well.  I LOVE my Exiss! Maybe because it's new, lol.
I didn't get it from NRS but I'll add a shameless plug because my bestie works in the finance department!  Tell Shelly that Toni sent you :
