Hey all. Anyone have any experience moving after graduation? It’s been my dream to move to Texas since I could remember. I love the Dallas area, the barrel racing scene is hot, and there are more opportunities overall than in my area. I like the environment and the friends I have made in the area as well.
I feel like I’ve reached a crossroads at my current job and have been interviewing lately. I would love any advice or stories about packing up and moving to another state. I would be leaving my parents so that will be hard for them to swallow, but I know I want to see more of the world and change my scenery.

Do it, you can always move back. My daughter packed up and moved from Houston to Denver for her first job out of college. She was there 2 years than transferred to Phoenix-she did not know anyone in either city but quickly made friends. You are young, now is the time for adventure and to explore the world

Do it. You'll always wish you had if you don't. I packed up and moved to Oklahoma right after college... having never been there and knowing nobody. Lived there for 3 years and absolutely loved it. Had planned on TX after that but a few things changed and I ended up back north. You can always go back. It takes awhile to settle in and go through such a big change... 1-2 years for a new place to feel like "home."

Do it. The worse is that you come back home. I moved 12 hours from home to a place where I had some friends and family (in retrospect having friends already there wasn't the best beacause it didn't force me to make new ones). Did the job work out? Nope. So I came back home, with a mountain load of CC debt but huge life lessons learned. Thinking about doing it again- just a little less scary move and a little bit better off financially.

Find a good man in Texas, sink your claws into him, marry him, and just use his money for barrel racing Or am I the only one who has done that?
I literally went from my parents house, then college, and then moved into my boyfriend's house and ended up marrying him; so I've never been on my own lol.
