Rockyroad - 2018-11-05 3:08 PM I have been selling CBD for quite some time.  All of ours is grown in the US, with organic farming practices, no pesiticides, no GMO.  All grown & processed in the US and labs veryify 0 THC.  We carry it for humans (soft gels & tincture - has been SUCH a relief for my knees!), tinctures or chews for dogs, and tincture or pellets for the horses.  The main webpage is www.hopebotanicals.com  for more info.  If you order through me, I can do my usual BHW discount for you.   I have 2 horses on the pellets - one is 29 & it has helped her arthritis tremendously!  The other has PSSM2 and a component of RER and these have been a Godsend for her - keeps her relaxed and so much more comfortable.
I am glad to see you post this. I looked at that website when I was searching . I will order some after I get back to work. Can you send me a way to order through you maybe
price on CBD PELLETS for horses, and how much is in an order, and how much do you feed.how long does it take to start working on arthritis?
Hey Jake, the retail on them is $90 + shipping through the webpage for the 1 mo supply at the suggested 2x day dose, but if ordered through me the BHW price would be $80 and include the shipping to the lower 48 states.  Ours have NO fillers, no alfalfa, no brand is more pure/higher dosage, and no THC.  For arthritis, I think the standard dose should work great.  My 29 year old was starting to get pretty stiff & not moving any faster than a walk.  I had her on the pellets we first carried - they had alfalfa in them - & they did help (same brand as Plantacea).  The ones we have now are much better and very palatable.  My old girl is back doing her beautiful sweeping long trot around the field & even runs & was bucking out with the rest of the herd the other day.  I would think you'd start seeing some improvement within 2 weeks for sure.
thanks for your response. If I order from anyone,it would be you:))) I just may give it a try

Thank you girl!

I have a broken arm. Along with that I get muscle tightness in the shoulder area and arm. I think the CBD has helped ease this tightness at times. Not each time but I do notice a relaxation difference after about 30 minutes. THEN I EAT CHEETOOOOS!

Seriously though I do feel there are times when it helps. My surgeon made me feel like a drug abuser when I asked him about CBD... says its marijuana none-the-less and says they are finding issues with the studies that say it helps. IDK he's a cocky well educated surgeon, what does he know about marijane??? Doubt he's ever met her.

I've been trying the oil for a little while now on the recommendation of my brother. He's been on disability from a coal mine accident for a few years now and he swaers that the CBD oil is a miracle cure for him as far as his pain.

They have some trial size bottles and I've bought 2 of them. The trial size lasts 3 to 4 weeks. I have back troubles too and permanent nerve damage from a ruptured disk a few years ago.

I think it may be helping a little but I'm not sure. I used it for about 3 weeks but we were out of the country for a week 2 weks ago and I didn't take it with me. The one I'm using is certified to have 0% THC but I still didn't want a potential problem with customs.

So I was off of it for a week. They say it takes 2-3 weeks to see results. I've been back on it for almost 2 weeks now. It seems to help with sleep for me. They say it helps with blood pressure but I don't have a blood pressure problem so that's not an issue.

I'm trying to give it a fair shot but I don't think I will continue with it. I bought a bigger bottle yesterday. They say one dose a day and that bottle will last 1 person almost 3 months. I've been doing two doses a day from the trila size. I've got about a week left on that. Once I strart on the large bottle I'm going to one dose a day and I'm doing it for a month. If I still feek like I do now about it I'm going to stop taking it.

I figure if it is helping in ways I'm not noticing then it will be noticable when I stop.

My brother may be having a placebo effect? But if he is it doesn't matter. He believes he's better so he is.

Has anyone ever used the Silver Lining Herbs hempseed/coconut oil?

I feed it to all our horses. Haven’t had any not eat it. My dogs lick the buckets when I set them down.

I know my dogs LOVE coconut oil... I've begun adding it to their food everyday, just pure raw coconut oil.. their coats and itching have improved so much. I am thinking about adding the SLH hemp/coconut oil to my horses feed. They make one for dogs as well

Rocky Road, I apologize if this is a stupid question, but why would one choose to feed pellets over the tincture for horses? Horse preference?

To the OP, my husband has dealt with chronic back pain for the last 7 years....to the point where is effects his quality of life, really. He can't sleep, constant pain. He'd seen countless 'specialists' spent thousands, and still, no one can figure out WHY. Finally he starting using CBD about 2 months ago. Was is a cure all? NO. He is still in some pain. BUT. He is sleeping again, he's able to concentrate at work and get things done because he's not focused on his pain all the time, and he says the pain is now just an annoyance, not even necessarily painful compared to what he's dealt with the last 7 years. Now, when he goes to the chiro, his adjustments actually hold. It's crazy. I'm a believer now!

Not a stupid question at all!  It's pretty much a preference and for me - ease of administering.  Some horses aren't thrilled about having drops put inside their lips, but will eat up the pellets w/o any hesitation.  I do have both - have used the tincture when I was in a situation where I thought the horse needed an extra amount, but I feed the pellets on a daily basis for both my n/P2, n/PX mare & my 29 year old with arthritis.  I take the soft gels myself vs the tincture also due to ease also.
I am SO glad your husband is getting relief!  I definitely understand!  Even with the prescription anti inflammatory pills I have for my knees (both are bone on bone), I was not sleeping at night due to the aching & burning.  I sleep like a baby now!

My husband has been out of his CBD for 3 days and man....he's noticing a difference. He should have some more in on Monday thank God!

I sell Hemp Oil and meal from Canada.  It is Human grade, certified Organic and no GMO.  I have been using Hemp oil and meal for myself and horses for a year and happy with the results.  I use CBD from My Daily Choice for myself.  All Hemp has CBD and THC but most laws say it has to be 3% or less to sell.  You can get CBD without THC too.  The THC in the CBD oil is like eating a Poppy Seed muffin.  Those that are tested for drugs may need to be cautious not every body acts the same.  Hemp is back!

I've been taking CBD oil tincture for several months. I sure notice if I forget to take it. It's not a miracle. I still take OTC pain meds at the same rate I was before. But I have less pain with the oil than without. I recently got a new bottle. It seemed like it wasn't working as well as the previous bottles (same brand). But I know I took it two times like I'm suppose to yesterday and I woke up feeling less pain and stiffness this morning. I hate taking meds all the time, but if I don't I can't move.

I think it depends on the brand of CBD oil and/or Hemp oil, depends on the mg factor, where it was manufactured at. Also people react differently. I have been taking the CBD oil for over 8 months or so. Noticed a difference but not enough to completely take away the pain in my back. I have tried different brands, different mg, etc. and nothing completely takes away the pain. But what it did do for me was take away the anxiety when I quit smoking. Plus it has also helped with my IBS pain and digestive system. Just wish it would take away the chronic low back pain.

Sometimes chronic lower back pain is from something else like your feet having issues. You might need insoles. Often lower back pain is hormonal (it is with me). Or other organs can cause back pain. It's not always musculoskeletal. You might investigate those options for more relief. :)

I know that and I have checked into what it could be related to. One it is because I sit at a desk all day and not enough exercise. Also age, carrying feed buckets, feed sacks, etc. I have went to chiropractors, massage, doctors and so on. I get the most relief from a weekly massage but that is getting pretty expensive. I was just hoping that the CBD oil and/or Hemp oil would relieve more of the pain so I could not be taking so much Aleve or Advil.

I get regular Chiro and massage. I totally get it. Improving my shoes helped me a bunch. Most of mine is upper back but it was bad enough like you I went looking for help.

Yes I agree improving the shoes has helped but not enough. But then I will probably "never" be pain free. Did too much heavy lifting when I was a kid like lifting bales of hay, milk cans as we had a diary, etc., etc.and now I guess I am paying for it.

But I don't want to go the "weed" route. Scares me to think that there are going to be some that are going to be driving on the stuff.

that's me too.  Grew up on a dairy & crop farm and know I was never taught first how to "properly" pick things up.  Then when my husband was killed, I did way too much heavy stuff by myself on our farm before I finally decided to sell it.  Too many hours on cement floors working in the lab have killed my feet & knees.  My CBD soft gels have helped me tremendously

I use Simply Hemp oil. I talked with my vet and he said as long as it wasn't mixed with Soy it wasn't ok to use. Simply Hemp was the only brand I could find at the time that didn't  mix with Soy.

Hemp and the CBD help by decreasing inflammation.  The inflammation is the problem causing pain.  We need to go to the root of the problem in order to hopefully stop the inflammation causing pain.

I get mine from BioStar because their stuff is always responsibly sourced. Their hemp seed oil comes from Canadian fields. They also carry a CBD blend called Receptor EQ. Here's some info and a video link from BioStar about Hemp Seed Oil vs their Camelina Oil (a high source of Omega 3s).

Empower EQ
Hemp Seed Oil for Horses
Empower EQ™ is cold-pressed hemp seed oil, a nutritional storehouse of essential fatty acids and antioxidants. Our hemp oil for horses contains no THC, and provides a balance of omega 3, 6 and 9, plus vitamin E, vitamin A, and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid). Hemp seed oil provides naturally occurring phospholipids, which may play a role in athletic performance.

Empower EQ™ is extracted through a special press and is not subjected to high-heat processing or solvent extraction like vegetable, corn, soy, and rice bran oils. Due to the vibrancy and quality of this oil for horses, only 1-2 ounces once or twice per day is needed.
https://www.biostarus.com/products/empower-eq

The video tells the difference between Hemp Seed Oil and their Camelina Oil (high in omega 3s) and what conditions you should feed them for both dogs and horses.
