I like using B1 Crumbles or Quiessence..Something thats high in Magnesium is great for horses that sounds like yours.

Do you think you have issues with ulcers since you are using Koolspeed?  I thought that healed and prevented ulcers?  I'm curious because i was looking into that feed thinking it would help with ulcers.

Liana D - 2019-02-06 1:01 PM Sometimes less is more. That’s a lot of hot feed for a horse. If she’s not being ridden for an hour everyday I’d probably cut out the grain and leave her on the alfalfa and Bermuda. Gastro Plex is a great product. It not only contains herbs to help their stomach but has probiotics to aid digestion. If she’s not holding her weight on Alf. And Bermuda I’d add a good fat supp.


Agree this is a lot of hot feed.  I'd switch to a ration balancer and mostly bermuda / turn-out with just a bit of alfalfa mixed into her bermuda.  Most folks are totally over-feeding their horses.
