i remember a dog collar nylon one someone sold?
Hands down the DARE collar. I have bought quite a few horses that were cribbers and all but 1 was cured after being treated for ulcers. On the 1 mare that wouldnt give it up, the DARE is the only one that would stop her from cribbing. The nice thing is you dont have to put it so obnoxiously tight either.
I will also vote DARE. I have two cribber that live in them with zero issues. One performance horse, one broodmare. I bought the large fleece that covers the whole collar accept the throat piece and they are good to go. I obviously check under the collar every so often but they wear it 24/7 without issue. Very well made. Works like a charm.
the nylon 'dog collar' type is by All American Tack and works well with 2 of my mares... the gelding wears a dare collar pulled tight. 2 of these , mare and gelding are full siblings and the other mare is paternal sibling... go figure.
I’ve had great luck with the Ridley cribbing collar.
All American Tack one works great

HEY those are cool! Who said a cribbing collar can't be pretty too!!!
Haha right?
What I like best about them is when the horse has their head down or grazing they get total relief.

They look like they have a velcro closure? Do they? I sure like that for safety purposes if it is!
Yes it’s a Velcro closure, I’ve had one on a horse for 3 years in the pasture now and zero issues with it.
I clean the Velcro once in awhile now when it gets grass stuck to it, and the Velcro will likely have to be replaced eventually.
