Location: Missouri | I tries searching the forum but idk if changes are being made to the website so every keyword I have tried is bringing up nothing in the past yr, or if its user error (entirely possible). Anyway. I need different stirrups. Knees and ankles hurt in what I have. I know everyone loves nettles but I really can't afford them right this second. I'm curious what everyone's preferences are as far as twisted or slanted stirrups and why? |

Location: Iowa | I tried slanted stirrups for awhile to help my knee and hip pain, however, I found that wooden stirrups ease the pain way better. I do love my nettles but they are other wooden brands out there like Don Orrell. |

Do your nettles have the leveler?
Mine do & they are the best thing ever! I tried a couple other brands of wooden ones (including the Don O ones) & just didn't care for them as much. Then broke down & ordered the Nettles ones with the leveler from Rockyroad on here (she does sales on them periodically) and am sure spoiled now! Saving up for another pr for my other saddle. |

| I have Kroes feet on my barrel saddle, they are ok, good enough I don’t feel I need to spend the $$ on nettles - although I’d like to someday. I just have regular stirrups on my ripe saddle, but when I ordered it I had the maker put hamley twists/Arizona twists/cowboy twists in them. That helps a ton too. They aren’t hard to put in yourself and there’s a few instructions out there if you google. |

I borrowed some Nettles w/leveler from a friend to try for a bit to see if I like them....these have a rubber tread on them too. Going to ride in them tonight for the 1st time and see what I think! |

Is the leveler something you can buy separately and add on to a pair of Nettles you already have? Or do you have to buy a whole new set of Nettles with the Leveler on them? I have two pairs of Nettles, but they don't have the Levelers on them. Does it make a big difference? |

I have no idea on this, but hopefully someone else does. I'd be interested to jnow! I finally got to put a few rides in the pair I borrowed from a friend. They do have a leveler and I really really like them! |

| Yes the difference is huge! I love mine with levelers much better than my pair without. If you already have nettles you can send them in and have the leveler added on. Otherwise you have to order them with the leveler added on. |

I'd be interested to know from someone who's tried both what the difference feels like to you? |
