Well I am not impressed with the company & won't be using their products. I was interested in their mineral tubs. I called the company yesterday because I had questions like, is the tub safe for pregnant mares. I have 3 bred mares. I got a voice mail & I left a message with my cell # to call me. I have yet to hear from the company. So I won't use their products. If they can't be consiterate to call me back so I can get my question answered, which to me is an important question, then sorry charlie, no will buy your product. There are other products just as good or better than theirs. To me, they are not very professional
Same thing with animal element. I sent 2 emails called a few times and got nothing in return. I wanted to talk directly with the company, not a dealer pushing products. Never got a response, so they didn't get a dime of mine. Platinum is really good at getting back to their customers as is THE .
I went with the Redmond salt & minerals. My concern is keeping all the horses drinking. My vet gives the redmond salt & minerals to her barrel horses, so if it's good enough for her horses, it's good enough for mine :) She went to the mines where it comes from when she went to the pink buckle in utah. She said she was really impressed with it. |

I bought a skinny mare full of ulcers, she would not eat. Zesterra worked for her, soothed her guts and she looks like a million bucks now.
Zesterra is not an every day supplement unless you are treating ulcers. So a gallon would last forever with one horse. For instance, 10cc given each day at a barrel race, or if not going anywhere, you would give 10cc 2 times per week. It really is very cost effective and they have different sizes. 250ml, 500ml, 1/2 gallon and full gallon. Best money I have ever spent. I wont be without my Zesterra!!
Thank you for giving this mare a better life!!!! |

| Zesterra is a great product but we have found another oral product that is cheaper and works great on ulcers. It is called NeutraBac pH. A gallon of NeutraBac pH costs $485 which equals $1.28 per 10mL dose. Both are great products that all horse owners should carry with them at all times-in my opinion. http://www.runninblivestock.com/neutrabac-ph/

| Kind of unrelated but I used to SWEAR by Zesterra. I used it for YEARS with amazing results. My gelding still ended up getting zesterra daily (10ml) and he just seemed to quit getting 'better'. So I decided to make the stitch to CEP Gut Check and I saw results and a personality change in just 3 days of 10ml a day. It has my vote. Same ingredients for the most part, but instead of corn oil CEP has flaxseed oil. |

Location: Oklahoma | Im wondering if its the collidal silver that is helping horses. I have a 5 gallon of collidal silver (straight) and it helps with all the stuff that you all are saying zesterra is helping. The corn oil would be whats making the hair coat shiny. I havent looked at the other ingredients tho. |

Thank you all for your responses. I have heard it works great, but was wondering why. I have a read a couple of things indicating the colloidal silver (the main ingredient) wasn't necessarily good long term so wanted to know more about the product scientifically. Is a product like Forco better? Why? Are there others that are better? Thanks!
Kind of apples to oranges. Zesterra is more for stomach issues, reducing acid and also to encourage drinking. Forco is more of a feed through supplement that helps digestion by encouraging bacteria growth. I don't honestly know if Forco does anything for ulcers or stomach acid.
The idea behind Forco is that you get the gut bacteria right so you don't have to use something like Zesterra. So in a way, they are on the same page. |
