Hi guys! I bought my permit for the first time in October and I’m planning to enter some rodeos the first of the year. I haven’t recieved a card or anything other than my confirmation email with my membership number. I was told by someone I had to have a actual card with me to get into rodeos? Is this true will I still get a card even if I’m just a permit holder? Any advice as far as entering too as I’ve never done it.
They havent sent out any cards for any of us. When I called last, they said they were waiting on the print materials to make the cards.
Some rodeos are card holder only. Usually the big ones. The smaller ones take permits.
You'll eventually get a card like all WPRA members, but the number will specify it’s a permit. Yes, you show that card to get into the grounds at the actual rodeo you entered. You’ll also get a companion pass for a friend to use if they go with you.
If you want to enter any rodeos prior to receiving paper work just call WPRA and have them give you your membership number verbally.

I renewed my membership in early September and they have still not mailed out physical cards/companion passes yet. I can't say thats surprising right now.

When I first bought my permit, I was able to find my card number in an email from the WPRA.
I'm no help on entering.....I had my permit in 2018 and bought my card after I filled it at barrel races. I think I called in for 3 rodeos and got into 2 of them. One in the slack and once in the perf. The one I didn't get into was one I said Perf or Out because my big pen horse only runs hard in performances.
