| Psalm 55:1 Give ear to my prayer,O God, and do not hide Yourself from my supplication attend to me and hear me; I am restless in my complaint, and moan noisley, becaue of the voice of the enemy. The psalmist was facing trouble. He was restless because of the voice of the enemy and the pressure of the wicked. Someone bore a grudge of hate against him. Anyone who has been faithful about seriously living for God has known trouble from others. What do we do? David was in such anguish he longed to give in and flee the situation. He longed to have wings like a dove so he could fly away and live in the wilderness to escape trouble. If you have known heat in the kitchen of faithfulness, you have at some time just wanted out. However, the Lord does NOT call us to flee but to LIVE FAITHFULLY. We are NOT to run but to STAND. Do not take the coward's road, but find courage in God. Along the way of life, when we find to be in a tough situation, and don't know what to do, "Cricumtances are rulers of the weak, but they are weapons of the wise." We learn our emotions and resolve are not controlled by circumstances. To persist without exception becomes our battle cry. DO NOT long for wings of a dove today...but BE PERSISTENT ! LIVE FAITHFULLY! For it is WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE Matthew 19;26 Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to You AMEN |
