Location: Kansas | Your dog has a very expressive face and I really like her. She's a lucky girl. We just had a news bomb here in Wichita where a creep left a starved pup locked in a crate (I hate crates too) thrown in a dumpster. It was a dumpster in an apartment complex and a gal found him and took him to the vet. I thought from the news pics it was a boxer but they called it a pit bull mix. The whole thing was pathetic but videos showed the culprit and she turned herself in and was charged with animal cruelty. This person had other violations hanging over her too. Grrrrr! |

| Well she changed her name ... again... this child of mine.... shes calling her Sadie ... this little dog is a smart! Kinda scary smart for being so young... I like to sit back and watch dynamics of animals in a group ... she knows exactly who she can mess with and just how far she can take it... my labs are passive but only to a certain point. Shes figured out how to get just a smidge under that point. When things go south she hides behind my legs lol! I was throwing the tennis ball for my females today for exercise and this puppy just sat right next to my leg the entire time, watching...a few times she wanted to try to engage but was hesitant... she has a very playful side but shes so cautious about it.. I almost feel like she was the bottom of the totem pole in her pack but also knew how to get by.. I think her food situation was obviously scarce so she has to learn there will always be a meal for her from now on, she eats so fast she chokes and shes just timid around feeding time.. my dogs all eat together and everyone is respectful of each others space .. they worked all that out a long time ago so now we have to let them teach her how to be a good member of the pack so a few nips and growls here n there is normal... no one wants to shed blood but they will get their points across and she will learn. Shes going to the door when she has to potty which is very impressive... shes learning that faster than my labs did... and I had them in crates to help potty train... very very smart pup.. wish I knew what she was mixed with! |

| Well I did some digging.. living out in a small town it's not hard to figure things out! I found out who and where these puppies came from, who dumped 2 of them anyway, one being our dog.... dont know what happened to the others. It was said to have been an accident, the dumping... they just "ran off " when he let them out for a second... the thing is they dont want them back ... surprise surprise... right?! Whatever it doesnt matter now.. shes ours and has a home. But I did find out what she is! A border collie/German shepherd mix.. mom is BC, neighbors gsd got out and well, you know the rest.... so that's what we have... I suspected BC in there somewhere because her personality and her intelligence is off the charts. Interesting mix from what I've been reading up on! It's not uncommon. Even if she was a big whoops! |

| Took miss sadie to the vet clinic this morning. Shes 21 pounds! Vet said shes very healthy! Just needs some groceries but nothing over the top just a tad thinner than theyd like but shes growing and now has consistency in her diet! No fleas and no parasites! That's a miracle in itself! She got her first round of shots. She was a perfect angel for them, they fell in love lol! Next appointment will be during the week, the clinc was a total zoo today! Jam packed. But she handled it like a pro. Just sat on my daughters lap and waited patiently amidst all the chaos of a vet clinic waiting room on a Saturday morning lol! |

Location: Where the pavement ends and the West begins Utah | Your beautiful girl is a Belgian malinois. From the looks of her ,shes a purebred. Lucky you!! Extremely smart family guardian. She is most likely bred for police work as she is a bit larger. ???. |

I could see that. Shes very smart you can see her thinking when you work with her. The boy that found the pair of them said he knew where they came from, he witnessed them being dumped by another boy he knew. He tried to play it off that they ran off from him but he wasnt buying that story. He said that boys family had 5 or 6 of these pups and just the 2 were left and he said his father told him to get rid of them. It's very sad. So he said the female momma was a border collie pure bred. And the neighbors dog got to her, he is a German shepherd. Thus creating a "Shollie" I looked it up lol! I saw the other puppy she was dumped with because they brought both here first. He was black and white and looked just like her ... same floppy ears and expressive face white feet with a white chest. He found another home for him since my daughter was wanting the female. Shes definitely gotten bigger but I really dont think shes going to be really big... medium sized at most. She loves being with us in the house and will sleep at my feet. Very smart dog! |
