II am looking to possibly find a barrel racing internship where I can hopefully help train/ride at jackpots/ as well as do chores. I have been riding and barrel racing my entire life and have worked under some colt starting trainers as well as worked at many barns cleaning stalls/exercising horse/etc.  My biggest issue is that because I am college aged and trying to take classes I don’t have the money to barrel race as much as I want to and I want to learn as much as I can to be the best rider and trainer I can be. I am willing to move around to where ever I need. Are there opputinites like this that exist? If so where/who can I get in contact with?

I would contact Pete Oen in Ardmore, Okla. I remember him saying he was looking for someone. Not sure if he still is, but he would be a good person to work for & learn from.

LadyJockey2 had posted recently Miss Kay was looking for someone.   I'll see if I can find it and bump it up.

Bogie Webb was looking for interns last summer or so.  He's in South Dakota.  Look him up on Facebook.
