If you can find it - Phar Lap.  We watched it in the 80's when you had to rent VHS tapes from Blockbuster lol.  It was an excellent movie.  It might have been an Australian film.

This would be my list too!  But you have to add Somewhere in Time to it with Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour

Yes, Phar Lap has been mentioned lots on here...one of the best! -  I  had waited over 3 months for it to get here from Australia for my birthday, last year--- in the past I always rented it from Blockbuster :)   it is an awesome movie - made in the 70's and somehow their racing shots seem so much better than Seabiscuit and some other more recent racehorse movies.

I'm going to have to look up that movie, lulu!

There are not that many movies where I will drop everything (even my phone) and just settle down and watch.  A few that come to mind:

King's Speech (definitely my number 1)

Tombstone

A Knight's Tale

Bohemian Rapsody (even if you don't like Queen or agree with Freddy Mercury's choices, it is still very well done)

I grew up on old school Star Wars and the ones that they put out in the 90's just sucked.  But the newer ones are pretty dang good.  Even my dad is a fan.

The Marvel movies (Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc) are also pretty funny.

Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji The Next Level are both excellent movies and great entertainment.

Something to Talk About is fun too.

Once Upon a Time.....In Hollywood is good but gets very Quentin Tarintino at the end.  He is, like Mel Gibson, given to extreme violence.

...and for a really fun Western can't beat American Outlaws.  Colin Farrell is great in this movie.
