| So i'm more handy than wealthy and was wondering if there are any places a person could find trailers that are fixer uppers or reposessed. We have several local guys that are handy plus my husband and I. Guess I'm searching for a diamond in the rough that needs a little repair. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Never really knew of a horse trailer being reposessed, but for reposessed trailers maybe check with your local trailer dealerships. For fixer uppers just drive around and look for parked trailers that looks like they have been sitting for a few years in someones yard or pasture. Where are you located? |

| Last fall we bought a repo'd Platnimun 3 horse LQ trailer. We got it from a small dealer close to us. The trailer is a 2015 but you couldn't even tell it ever had a horse in it, super clean and fancy trailer. If I were you I would look for those small dealers, even car dealers (basically anyone with a dealer license) that have the ability to buy off of those auction sites. Let them know what you are looking for and maybe you will get lucky. |

| I girl I know had her LQ repossessed last year. It went to a semi local car auction. Dealer only auction though. |

Location: OH | Crankyape.com--they will have some occasionally. We bought our 5 horse Elite at a Copart site----had to go through a buddy of mine that had a Salvage License though. This was back in 2007 when we bought it---it had been rolled on its side and they cut the roof off to get horses out. Living Quarters was untouched, We put a new rood on it, one axle and a gray water tank, that was the hardest, but when all was said and done we only had a little over 20 grand in it. It will never be spotless, still has a few bumps and bruises but it doesn't make me feel so bad when a colt paws the side. LOL. |

I second Cranky Ape. We had a brand new Platinum 3 horse trailer that was totaled by insurance due to a hail storm. I had only pulled it about 150 miles. Brand new it was $42,000. Sold on Cranky Ape for $11k.......... |
