Location: USA | What is your experience with either of these lines? I've heard that with FAB you want to cross him with run. What about LSOF, what is he crossed best with? I am also looking for a bigger built horse, big bone and good feet. Something that will hold up. I'm wanting a filly for resale value as a broodmare later in life. any suggestions regarding these 2 lines? Pros Cons. |
Location: Northeast Texas | I don't have any experience with the Fab babies, but have a LSOF 2yo gelding (X Dashin LaJolla mare) and yearling filly (X King/Colonel Freckles mare). Both are big stout colts. They are both super smart and friendly. Will also say that Bryel is so nice and easy to work with when it comes to breeding to LSOF!

Location: Desert Land | I love both and have bred to both. Unfortunately the LSOF I lost the mare in foal to him and that was already a rebreed so I didn't ask Bryel to extend it. I had a really nice Fab filly out of a Dash Ta Fame daughter I sold as a long yearling a little over a year ago. The people LOVE her. They send me updates all the time.

Location: MI | Have rode both. The Fab mare was out of a 15.2 Story Man mare and barely made 15 hands if you said it fast. She was quick footed and catty but very high maintenance. You had to lope her down like a cutter before you could get her attention actually on the barrels. The LSOF gelding wasnt as pretty. Kind of big, raw boned and plain headed but had a great work ethic. Warm him up for 10 minutes and he was ready to work. Here is a pic of Fab mare. Dont think I have one of the LSOF |

Location: SE Missouri | I LOVE my LSOF 9yo that I raised! I have a closely bred 2yo and have a 3/4 sibling on the way. Trainable, smart, fast, gritty and stood up to a lot of pressure being pretty green. He definitely put size on both of the mares I bred to him. Annie never even looked around when seasoning her and her seasoning was first exhibition 1/9, first run the following weekend, and the first week of Feb she was in Georgia, then a couple after that TX, AR, etc. She gained weight on the road (Zesterra and Equinity didn't hurt her). Her momma was a touch hot (not bad) and she is not. She has been 1D with 3 very different riders. Trainer, me, and a youth I am truly a fan.
last year I flushed an embryo out of her and Slick then ended up letting her carry an MCM Ima Hoss baby. Of course they are all stud colts?? so that's the only I don't like about her at the moment- is giving me boys?? (Just kidding) Both are extremely nice babies. I don't have a FAB but I've been a fan of his for a while. |
