Posted on NBHA fl02, "After a long and courageous battle with dementia, it is with great sadness I announce the passing of Kim Landry. Kim was instrumental in the growth and development of NBHA FL02 . She was a true icon in the barrel racing community. Her leadership and barrel racing skills were a blessing to everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone in the horse community.

Kim was amazing and one of a kind. She had a special way with the OTMR horses. I still have a training vcr tape of Kim and Squeak that I never get tired of watching. Kim has been and will be greatly missed by the barrel racing community.

So sad she was just way to young..I think she was around 55 when she was diagnose with dementia..
Prayer for friends and family. I remember watching Fort Smith's short round one year in the late 90's and she had something crazy like 13 of the 40/50 back. She was an amazing pilot!

Prayers for all her friends and family. Dementia and Alzheimers are such cruel things. I lost my sister from Alzheimers back in 09. She was only 51
I'm so sorry to read this. I was very fortunate to own Little Son Of A Gun, an OMTR gelding she trained. She was a phenomenal trainer and, from what I've heard, an incredible woman.
She was always willing to help no matter who you were. Will miss her. I bet she she has a heck of a string of horses to run in heaven.
