| - I am curious about the MVP mega cell. I've fed it before to my daughter's horse and he seemed to do ok on it. I always had my horse on Platinum, while he looks fantastic on it I "think" it's making him too hot .. we experienced some different behavior this weekend that was undesirable to say the least. He's been on platinum for maybe 3 months or so. I thought I read somewhere that mega cell was just a very bare bones minimum supplement for pasture horses not being fed grains but not geared towards performance horses in heavier work. ? Is the mega cell enough to give and cover all my bases? I feed soaked alfalfa pellets twice a day with platinum along with free choice excellent giant bermuda and they get a large flake of good alfalfa once a day as well...just started them on Renew Gold Sr. As well. Going grain free route but want to make sure my boys are getting the neccessary levels of vitamins and minerals. Of course I'm open to other suggestions as well.. mega cell is extremely affordable!

And if anyone reading this had a good vitamin/Mineral supplement with NO MOLASSES please let me know! Maybe this product will also work for me. |

Ahhh yes... no molasses is definitely a plus and also soy free might be nice but I know that's few and far between. Soy isn't a complete deal breaker but not a huge fan of large amounts of it. |

Location: Claremore, OK | Mega Cell (for grass diets) and Mega Mag (for alfalfa diets) are both great products that supply essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids and probiotics . They're both great products that help balance the diet and give the essentials a horse needs, all rolled up in an alfalfa meal based pellet.
if you want an all around supplement that covers joints , hooves, muscle, gastric, hair coat and digestion, Exceed 6 way covers all of it. It's similar to Platinum but has a few more ingredients. |

Which one would I use then? The mega cell or mag? I feed roughly 4 to 5lbs a day of alfalfa pellets plus the medium sized flake of alfalfa but bermuda hay free choice throughout the day. |

Thank you so much! I'd appreciate that. I can't really afford the 6 way at this time but it looks like an amazing product. Maybe in the future I can swing it. I'd be feeding the mega to 2 horses. |

MVP recommends the Mega Cell unless your horse's diet is predominately alfalfa. Id go with the Mega Cell :-) |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I love MVP supplements, I ordered Mega Cell from Sharon Hall's web site, shes got the best prices over all. I have been wanting to go with a supplement that covers Amino Acids , vitamins and Minerals so I dont have to buy different supplements and the MVP Mega Cell seems to about cover all that I have been wanting in a supplement. Been useing the MVP supplements for 6 to 7 years and dont have no complaints. |

I too buy majority of my MVP stuff from sharins website! I havent been disappointed in anything I've gotten thus far... my only small gripe...... and it's actually quite funny ... the airway eq supplement STINKS. It smells very weird to me but my horses eat it right up. I opened the bag in my house and my youngest son walked in and yelled EWWWW WHO FARTED!!! LOL!! |

| i used it in the past, its good. horses ate it no problem. I didn't keep feeding it because it didn't have quite the balance for my hay. Other vitamins i like are California trace (what I use now), or High point grass or alfalfa by horsetech neither of these make my horse hot/spooky. I agree with platinum making a horse hot. I've had two horses get hot/spooky on it, and they were never hot before that. I always get a hay analysis done and use an online program to see what I am missing. Its kind of neat and helps me not to be feeding something out of balance or something not needed. Even though it cost me for the program use its saving me money on feeds. |
