My horse is currently getting Actiflex by cox but I just haven't seen any real results out of it so I'm looking into going a different direction. I was looking into either GLC5500 max or an injection such as adequan. What have y'all seen results with? My horse doesn't have any major issues, injections once-twice a year, this will be for support.

This has been talked about at length, including by me. I can say a few brief things about feed throughs. Some people get good results, and some do not. The difference in results is because of the cause of the joint issue.  My experience, including doing a 55 horse clinical trial with over 40k measurements using a feed through that I formulated years ago for Absorbine, showed that properly formulated feed throughs can work to reduce inflammation and increase synovial fluid viscosity, for chronic situations like mild arthritic changes, or a lack of quality of the synovial fluid that lubricates the joint which causes that inflammation.  For acute injury, feed throughs will not make a significant difference, but may help in a maintainance role after recovery. In the case of acute injury, direct intervention at the injury site may produce a better result if improvement is possible. So the bottom line for me (my opinion for what that is worth to you) is that people that say feed throughs are worthless simply did not use them for the issues that they do work for. People that say that they work wonders, did not use them to treat acute injury.

Win, what's your favorite feed through for maintenance and support?

The feed through that I formulated and manufactured for Absorbine that they sold under the name Flex+ is what we did the clinical trial with. It proved to be effective under the intended usage, which was for arthritic changes and chronic, long term joint inflammation. Absorbine has since changed the formulation, and I can not speak to the effectiveness of the newer formula. The closest formula to our original one, which I know works, is the Four Flex line from Sher-Mar. You can find it on line. Please note that I have no financial interest in those products, I just know that they are properly made and actually contain what the label says they contain. That is more rare than you would think.
