I'm sure there probably has been a discussion about this before, but if so, I didn't find it. I really want to buy one for my wide hard to fit horse. I have heard nothing but great things about them, even that one saddle fits a variety of horses. I am wondering if there are any out there that are NOT fans of a masters saddle. Doesn't matter the reason, just doing my homework. I have a Horse Tack World  right now that I hate, it rolls and has come off. I did more than the "break in period", special pad, special girth, crossed my fingers and still rolls! I'm over it.

I LOVE my masters saddle. I feel alot more secure in it because of the deep seat it has. What I really love is it weighs 17 LBS. I am 67 and lifting my 25 LB saddle on my 15.3 hand mare was getting hard for me to do. My mare is a very hard running and turning mare. I needed a saddle like the masters for me to stay with her.  I'm glad I listened to a friend of mine who has one and used it on abbie when she rode her for me. Another thing I have noticed is when I'm warming up at a trot, abbie's movement is free'r than with my other saddle. The company is wonderful to work with also.

Thanks! I have heard all good and no negative so far. I love the way my horse tack world sits me during a run, but am tired of it rolling. Like you, I am 59 and love the light weight.

I had a Masters. I did not like the way it rode IMO it was not balanced at all. It did fit my hard to fit mare pretty decently, even tho it sat weird. It sat uphill. I sold that saddle and bought a Seven. I absolutely love how it rides, very balanced. It fits my mare better through the back but is wider than the Masters. I just use a thicker pad with it. No fitting issues and have had the saddle for 2 years. My mare is hard to fit and the Seven is the first treed saddle I been able to use on her for more than a couple of months.

Thanks. I have a very hard to fit horse who I have been told is very unbalanced, I knew this to an extent. My problem is I think I need a wider gullet because he gets pinched on the shoulder. A saddle fitter said I don't need wider, of course I need to get him balanced. I am at a loss! Lol
