| It seems like many of our board members are having many bumps in the road lately. So I thought a prayer list so we all know who is in need would be a good idea. I'll start with the ones I know. If I missed someone, PM me and I will add it to the list.
1) barrelracin85- her cousin, Tyler, is 16 and having to get his gall bladder removed. He is young to be having this done.
2) Barrelrunner97 - Her Grandma was put into hospice. She has alzheimers and is expected to only live for about 6 more months. Grandma raised 97 and her brother when their mother died when 97 was only 11 years old.
3) Three4Luck - has a benign tumor on her auditory nerve that is also pressing on her brainstem. The surgery will cause hearing loss, possible facial paralysis and balance problems. She may never be able to barrel race again.
4) canchasnpassion - her cousin was in a wreck and was airlifted to the hospital. He is in the Trauma Unit and is having surgery to repair the main artery in his heart.
5) Cheryl Chown and her daughter were in a horrific truck wreck on 10-18-08. They are both in the hospital.
6) Jennifer Bowman - she has something going on with her muscles. They tighten up and sometimes she can't move or talk.
Please PM me to add others that are in need of our prayers because of serious issues.

Location: Playing Devil's Advocate in TX | If you could add my mom to the list, I'd appreciate it. She had a nervous breakdown over the Christmas holidays and it was a very close call, she almost didn't make it. She was admitted into psych inpatient treatment. The stresses of the loss of both my grandmother and my 6yr old niece this past year finally came to a head. She is being released from treatment this week and will be moving down from TN to OK with me and I am happy to have her, but she is now unable to handle the stresses of work and I must now cover all her bills as well as mine.
Please help me pray for strength, hope, faith and joy to be returned to her life...to see there is a light at the end of the tunnel and to learn to enjoy her life again....and also please pray she sells her house in Tennessee soon because that will solve alot of our bill problems. Thanks all!! |

Location: facing Fort Worth | How wonderful it is to pray for the needs of those we share so much with. In Revelation Chapter 5, vs 8 speaks aboout the bowls of incense in heaven holding the prayers of God's people. They matter, they are heard and received. John Ch 4 vs 8 says "Draw close to God and He will draw close to you." Let us always be headed in His direction! I pray for strength, healing, restoration, peace, and spiritual renewal in each and every situation listed. I pray for the needs that are known and the needs only He understands. I will continue to lift these BHW friends in prayer. Psalm 91;12 reads " I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and I rely, and in Him I confidently trust!" There are some sorrows we will never make sense of but we can stand on our faith in the Word. Be blessed today. Heidi Dorsey |

I just received word of a terrible auto accident in my former hometown. Two young men were killed and a third is in the hospital in critical condition. Please pray for the familes of these three young men. One of the young men killed left behind a wife (his high school sweetheart) and three young children. The other guy killed left behind a wife and two small children. I am just devastated.

Even after her ordealon Wed, she felt good enough to play basketball last night and made 8 of the 13 pts to win the game!! She is soooo amazing and resiliant!!
To all of those who have it way worse than us, my heartfelt prayers are with you as well. Thank you again.

| lsknight - 2007-03-02 8:10 AM This prayer thread is awesome!! I just want to say thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes for my little girl. I am so thankful that even though she does have some problems, she is able to be with us and is otherwise a normal, wonderful, beautiful light. Even after her ordealon Wed, she felt good enough to play basketball last night and made 8 of the 13 pts to win the game!! She is soooo amazing and resiliant!!
To all of those who have it way worse than us, my heartfelt prayers are with you as well. Thank you again.
Here is a pic of the angel God has blessed my life with!! Thanks for posting the picture! It is nice to be able to put a face with the prayer!
Continued prayers that your daughter gets healthy soon! |

Location: Millen Ga | Sidekicks Mom - 2007-02-07 9:01 AM It seems like many of our board members are having many bumps in the road lately. So I thought a prayer list so we all know who is in need would be a good idea. I'll start with the ones I know. If I missed someone, PM me and I will add it to the list.
28) Tanya - her mom was airlifted to the hospital with a possible aortic anurism.
Thank you for thinking of me/ my family.
I haven't been posting her emuch lately because it just seems that there is SO much going on in life that I just can't get by her ethat often. I do try to scan the front page of posts and read them and I try to say a quick prayer for everyone eho needs it but I am sure I miss some.
An update on us- my mom was released that night, they ruled out an aortic aneurism. However just a few days later, my 18 year old sister who is bi-polar flipped out and attacked her. She choked her and attempte dto get a knife from the kitchen drawer. She was arrested and sent to a state hospital. Because my mom is the victim she can't have any contact with her. And I am the only other family member in the area, so everything is falling to me to deal with and I'm feeling very overwhelmed. On top of some severe financial blows to our family, I am just- as Sunrise put it- at the end of my rope. We don't even know what is happening to my sister, where she really even is, and when she is coming back. Its all a mess.
Slowpoke- if you read this- I haven't forgotten you and I'm sorry I haven't called, I am just so overwhelmed right now :( All I can say is- I'm trying.
I really miss being able to spend alot of time on here like I used to. Ive about used all of the time I have for the moment but I really do appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Location: Wichita Falls TX | Just a little update on my baby girl. We got the results from the PH study they did Wed, and she has very severe acid reflux. The biopsies came back normal. Thank you Jesus! We have an appointment next Friday to check for gall stones and the function of her gall bladder. Not sure exactly why, just to check, I guess, but better safe than sorry. On top of all this Makenzi has been fighting the flu, but she is feeling much better today. So maybe she will get to enjoy at least a little of spring break. We are going to do something special, I'm just not sure what yet. She has been such a big girl through all of this!
On a positive note, my oldest brother is at the hopital having a new baby girl!! Well, his wife is! I don't get to go today though, I'm afraid I'll spread the flu germs!! |

I try to check the board a couple of times a week. I'm so sorry for not checking earlier and posting that I'm praying for all in need. I will keep all of y'all in my prayers.
I have a brother that lives in Tuttle, OK that just had 5 by-passes done on March 6th. He is in his 70's. Doctors had to take vain's out of both legs. He is in Intensive Care and they will not put him in a room until his blood pressure goes up. It dropped way down. (Mine runs low anyway and I think his does too. Mine dropped real low when I had my cancer surgery several years ago.) Please keep him in your prayers. Barbara |

| Please say a prayer for a girl from Wi. She had cancer quite a few years ago, went into remission, came back , got a lung transplant and has been doing really well from what I knew. I just found out today she has cancer back in her transplanted lung and started Chemo again today. Please say prayers for Brittany. She is such a wonderful person and she has been so brave and strong throughout her struggle with cancer. So many prayers for you Brittany and I hope the BHW power of prayer works this time too. Location: MN | Here is my update finally.
I now know the power of prayer. The doctors can only do so much. They said that there was no hope and that I needed to decide how my dad would like to live, so my family and I had made our decision. Then I got sick with the flu and didn't make it to the hospital one day. That is the day that he decided to wake up and return to us. He seems to know what is going on and where he is. He can't really talk because of the trac (sp), but he does know me. He is not moving to much, but just smiles at me. I will take whatever I can get. So I am still here in SC, missing home, but really liking the weather. Thank you to everyone who prayed, will still have a long road ahead, but it's a road. Thanks again. |

Nobody knows exactly how you feel when someone you "love" becomes sick.....when we loose them it's especially hard.
But take comfort in knowing that a "better place" awaits those who believe in the Lord.
Several of us here have felt those same emotions a time or two, and it's not easy, however lean on the "Father" his shoulders are broad enough to lighten your sorrow and can "enlighten" to see the glory of the cycle of life. May our Prayers comfort your grief, heal your ill & console your woes till the day we meet at heavens gates. God Bless You all!!!

My mother has moved in with me and seems to be doing well emotionally, we are attempting to get Social Security Disability payments which, at this point, are almost a necessity. Please pray we are approved! Also please pray we sell her house in Tennessee....it's been on the market for 5 months now and because one of her neighbors' homes isn't "pretty" it is having a hard time selling. We were relying on the profit from this house to pay for my mom's health insurance for the next year and if the house doesn't sell in the next month and a half, we will have to have her file bankruptcy and I have no idea how I will pay for her insurance...and with a pre-existing condition she HAS to have it! Things are getting tight and I don't want her to worry.....her health is THE MOST important thing to me. Thanks all. |

Location: Bossier City, Louisiana | I have several prayer requests. A wonderful woman that I work with has had another loss in her family. Just last week her ex-husband (whom she was still extrememly close with) passed away unexpectedly. On Monday morning they also found her older brother dead in his home. He was only 55. Please say a few prayers for her. She is a very religious woman...sweetest person I know. This is going to be very hard for her.
My mother is needing to have surgery on her knees. Please say a healing prayer for her. Grandkids are going to stay with her in June and she needs to be well! |

| I normally dont ask for prayers, but I am going to ask for them today.
I ask for prayers for my family, so that they can find peace and comfort. My mother's mom has recently been diagnosed with bone cancer. They will hopefully know the results today whether it has spread to her lungs or brain. I know my mom is under alot of stress right now as we are calving, and spring is a busy time for our family business and with my Father still working a full time job.
So if you could just say a little prayer for them that would be great. Trying to be strong lately, but with all the stress and things that have been going on lately I hope I can remain strong and handle things around here. |

Location: Lubbock, Texas | The Rice family from Pendleton, OR really needs some prayers right now. Their son Tripper was killed in a car accident in Texas in the last day or so from what I understand. He was only 24-years-old. He was the type of person who always had a smile on his face, made people laugh, and was a gentleman to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed. I am greatful that I had the chance to high school rodeo with him. It is heart breaking and I cannot even imagine what his parents are going through right now. I know that words cannot express enough my deepest sympathy. So if everyone could just say a short prayer for Paul and Cindy Jo Rice it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

Second, there was a horrible car accident late this morning involving two beautiful young girls that are graduating from high school in two weeks, honor students that have been active on the school dance team and cheerleading squad. One was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL (her name is Hannah), she had to be extricated from the car. My daughter just called and told me Hannah has some bleeding in her brain. The other girl is Nicole, and she is currently in our local hospital with apparently less severe injuries. It appears their car was broadsided while they were on the way to their internship programs at our local hospital. Thank you for including these sweet girls in your prayers |

Location: At The End of The Red Dirt Road | Okay, I give...sometimes I figure the good Lord is busy enough without me bothering him, but I'm spent!
I am trying to help out sunrisemoney at the hospital, I had a colt gelded this morning so needed to watch him a while - her mom just called & is exhausted - you know she would not have called to ask me to come over as soon as I can if she wasn't totally spent. So I am headed that way as soon as I can...
MY mom called this morning to tell me my younger brother & his wife have separated. They have a 2 yo son, so of course my mother is not only worried about my brother, but the grandson as well. My mother has parkinson's & she is a worrier anyway.
So, friends...here is my list - please continue to lift sunrisemoney (Rhonda Hilker) and her family up to the Lord in prayer & please pray for my brother & his son, my parents in their trying to help him, and finally for my colt to heal good. I always hate to have that done! Thank you !!! |

| I've got a friend that has been trying to get prego and went to the dr. again yesterday and they have diagnosed her with polycystic ovarian syndrome. They tell her her chances are still good for having kids the next couple of years, but I did a search on PCOS and it sounds pretty scary. Please say a prayer for her that the medications they have her on controls it and still allows her to have children when the time comes. Thanks. |

Location: Nebraska | All of us experience difficulties & pain at one time or other through-out our lives.
What helps get us thru these trying times is the comfort of knowing there are people out here that truly care and are willing to help in anyway they can; even thru the power of Prayer that brings us to devine healing, and a sense of comfort in our soul & heart knowing folks are Praying for us.
How blessed we are to beable to experience this "caring feeling" on a public forum. We are here for one-another thru joys & sorrow, Happiness & Pain, New beginings and Loss of somebody we loved and cherished. Everyones individual situation is healed with love!
What a BEAUTIFUL feeling; knowing somebody is Praying for all of us that are in need. No words can describe how Grateful/Thankful I am to be a part of the Lords devout Horse Family (BHW)
Praying for you all & remain positive even thru the darkest of times, know that I am here Praying for you, lending a soft shoulder, and when you need a lift, I'm humbly thinking of you with a smile and admiration of the strength thru our Lord, that we can get thru this! I just know we ALL can!!!! One day at a time....Believe! God Bless You All....

| Just wanted to give the latest update on my friend that was in the BAD car accident in early March. He's still having a little trouble with his left eye, but the doctor says there's still not a need for surgery as of yet (still healing on its own). Other than the eye, he is doing great. He's back on a horse (as of a 2 weeks ago), driving, and hoopin' and hollerin'! And he's engaged to the girl that stood by him the entire time, so now he gets to start learning how to take orders from her instead of a nurse. So thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers for this young fella! They worked!!! |

| About a month ago, one of our rodeo families and the town of Dayton, Texas lost one of it's finest... Tyler Schneiter.
Tyler was a really sweet kid who always had a smile on his face. He loved being a cowboy and rodeo-ing. Tyler came from a rodeo family who lit the fire in this young man to live the western way of life, to rodeo and be the best. I never saw him do anything without putting everything he had into it. He had TRY... His family should be so proud of Tyler as he made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Tyler's mom, Ashley (Boyett) Schneiter has been running barrels since she was very young. Casey, his dad, is a farrier, bull-dogger, and roper.
While in the barn with his mom, grandma, and little sister, Tyler was kicked by one of the horses. It was reported that his neck was broken. He died after being life-flighted to the hospital in Houston.
Please pray for this family. Pray for strength and comfort for both the Schneiter and Boyett families.
Ash, Casey, Taylar, Renee and Terry.... I love ya'll. I pray that time will heal your loss. My thoughts and prayers are definitely with you. If I can do anything to help or ease your burden... please don't hesitate to ask.
Beth
I attached his obituary from our area news web site.
Tyler B. “Ty Bug” Schneiter, 7, of Dayton, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton, TX. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Tyler was born September 29, 1999 in Houston, to parents; Casey and Ashley Boyett Schneiter, and has resided in the Dayton area throughout his life. He was a student at Stephen F. Austin Elementary, member of the DYSA pitching machine Cardinals, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, calf roping, swimming, and snow skiing.
Tyler was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers: Keith Mace, Bill Boyett and Ray Schneiter. He is survived by his parents: Casey and Ashley Boyett Schneiter of Dayton, sister: Taylar Schneiter of Dayton, grandparents: Terry and Renee Boyett of Dayton and Dr. Harvey and Donna Schneiter of Fannett, aunts: Angela Murphy and husband Clint, Amber Hall and husband Andy, Brandy LeBlanc and husband Clint, and Megan Schneiter, uncles: Cory Schneiter and Cody Schneiter, great-grandparents: Kathryn Mace of Dayton, Yvonne Boyett of Dayton, Carol Parker of Houston, Ann and Jim Fager of KS, and Dorothy Schneiter of KS, cousins: Andrew Murphy and Blake Hall, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of usual floral remembrances the family requests that donations be made to Tyler B. Schneiter Scholarship Fund account no: 2995697 at Prosperity Bank of Dayton or the Tyler B. Schneiter Memorial Fund at the Beacon Credit Union 2812 West Alexander, Baytown, Texas 77520, account no: 118780 or the Baytown Firefighter’s Credit Union.

Just a personal note, I had a PM from a board buddy last night and again today. This person really needs our prayers for improvement in their health. Without going into detail because I'm not sure they would want to be announced publicly.
Father in Heaven, I ask that you watch over our friend, open new doors for him and his physicians, Father, we ask that you put your loving arms around him, comfort him, give him strength and heal his body, mind and spirit. Lord, this gentle soul, is a shining light in many of our eyes, and I ask that you shine an extra ray of sunshine on him and brighten his days. Father, we love you and we exhalt your name - these requests Lord, I ask in Your precious Heavenly name. Amen.

| Went to a barrel race in Sand Springs Saturday night. Talked with Gerald Robinson--which I'm sure if you're from OK--you know and love this fella. Well, he found out that he has bladder cancer. He is going to be starting Chemo within the coming weeks. So please pray for him. . . for strength, courage, comfort, and healing. I don't think I could imagine being at a barrel race without hearing him holler "Get outta there!" or "Whoop him, Whoop him" He's always been the voice I hear over everyone elses at every race I've entered (or watched). He's a great photographer, and an even more amazing friend. |

Location: Where the stars at night are big and bright, TX | Prayers needed for my rescued starved horse, Macho. We finally got him back Saturday and he choked Friday morning. Had to drive him 90 miles to the only vet available for an emergency call and it took from 11 AM to 6 PM to move the low-choke. It was causing an obstruction near his heart and his body was extremely stressed yesterday. I am hoping he makes it through the night and we can bring him home tomorrow.
He's been through so much, I wish I could take his burden from him and give him strength to heal quickly and completely. |

Location: Montana | I'd like to ask all of you to pray for the family of Staff Sargent Yance Gray. He was killed in a rollover while in action in Iraq. He was an amazing and wonderful person. He leaves behind his wife and a four month old daughter. He was 26. Yance was very close in our community and we prayed for him every day. Our community is very close knit and we are taking Yance's death very hard. He was a hero in everyone's eyes. If you could spare a prayer for his wife, daughter, parents, and siblings, I know they could use all the prayers that they can get. My heart breaks for his daughter as she will never get to see her daddy again. She only got to see him once when she was 3 days old. Thank you for your prayers. We lost a great solider, brother, father, and friend. RIP Yance! |

Wanted to update. He has completed 7 rounds of Chemo and they sent him home briefly to let his platelets increase. He will be heading back to MD Anderson in the next week or two for his final round of Chemo. His Dr said he feels he is in remission now and this last round of chemo is added insurance. His Dr has an 83% success rate with treating lymphoma patients.
Keep the prayers coming.. God is great!!

Comfort us who have lost beloved family members, beloved horses or pets, as they are all very dear to our hearts. Lord, we ask that you heal thoes who have had surgical operations, disease stricken bodies, or both. And Father, through the blood of your son, we are healed by his stripes, In Jesus name we Pray; Amen..... THANK YOU JESUS!
I want to add a very special Prayer for a dear sister in Christ. If you would so kindly add Sheila Zant to your healing prayers, I am positive she would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so very much God Bless Us All.....

He is starting his 4th round of chemo tomorrow. He is doing his treatments at MD Anderson in Houston.
His lymphoma is a result of Agent Orange from the Vietnam war.
Prayers that Chet remains in remission. |

update
His burns were not as bad as the Doctors initially expected. His face and hands are the worst. He will be released to stay with his mother in the city where he will be close to the hospital to have his bandages changed daily. He is very upbeat and positive considering the huge loss. There is going to be a large benefit for him at the end of the month. It is sure to bring in a lot of money as this is a man who has touched many people in his life. Thank you all so much

| Please keep my grandma in your prayers. Last Tuesday my aunt took her to the ER because she was dizzy and had zero energy (not like her AT ALL. This woman goes 90 - 0 all of the time) Anyway her blood pressure was 220+ on the top and her her blood sugar was in the 400s. The ER doctor sent her home because he didn't have any open beds. The next day she was admitted into the hospital after a trip to her doctor. Yesterday the neurologist came by to check on her as she was not getting any better (in fact only getting worse...slurred speech, dizzy, no energy) She ran some tests and said that it appeared that Grandma had suffered a stroke about a week ago. She also said that there is a 24 hour window and that if a stroke is diagnosed within that time frame the odds are very high that there will not be any permenant damage. We were told that had she been kept on that Tuesday and had meds administered that she would probally not be the way she is today. Please pray for her and also for my family as it is starting to tear into them all. Some are laid back and others high strung and out for blood instead of all joining forces to help Grandma recover faster. Sorry this is so long. Please pray for us. |

| They have moved my Grandma to a rehab facility. I just got off the phone with my Mom and she said Grandma was feeling about the same, but that when they took her down today for her therapy she got sick, they assume this is from jostling her around yesterday from the hospital and getting her set up at the rehab facility. I will update as I know more. Right now it looks like she will be there for at least 3 weeks. Thanks for all the prayers. |

Location: WI | I thought that this should be added to this posting also: To make a long story short One of our Very Special Younger Barrel Racers from MN is very sick in the hospital from an accidental mistake with Medications. There is all ready a posting on this site that tells the story about Dillon Brown so I will not go into detail, but Dillon and his Family need all the thoughts and Prayers from all of his fellow Barrel Racers. Please Keep Dillon and his Family in your prayers because he is a Very Special Kid with a Big Smile every time he makes a run and he really needs all the support that God and his fellow Barrel Community can give him! Thank you for taking the time to read this and keep him in your prayers. I saw that no one had posted the new message for Dillon's family and friends, so I hope I am not stepping on any toes by posting this:
|
“GETTING DILLON BACK IN THE SADDLE” is our goal! Dillon has a long road of rehab and therapy to get him strong enough to get back in the saddle. So many of you have called to ask what you can do to help Dillon. I know this will be hard to believe but Dillon does not have a saddle. His was destroyed by a horse last year and he has been borrowing saddles here and there. If you would like to help us raise money to get Dillon a saddle he would really appreciate it. Tabatha opened a checking account specific for this event. Checks need to be made out to TABATHA WEBSTER FOR BENEFIT OF DILLON BROWN and mailed to: 461 Maplewood CircleNew Prague, MN 56071. Tab is trying to get a saddle at cost. When Dillon comes home we will host a small event and present Dillon with the saddle and a card with the names of every one who is able to donate. Dimes or dollars any bit matters! If you have questions please don’t hesitate to call Tabatha-612-290-6089 or KIT-612-414-0540.
Once again Thank you for your kind support! | I think this is a Great Idea and a Wonderful Way to "Help the Cow Person's Way!" The group of people that Dillon is around and all our fellow Barrel Racers from all around know what it feels like to "Fall Off the Horse" and not quite know how to get back up and "Ride to the Timer!"
Dillon is really working hard to get better, but the trail ahead of him is going to be tough! I hope that all of us can continue to keep him and his family in our prayers and maybe help if you can to give Dillon a "Goal to shoot for when the times ahead of him are going to be tough!" For all the love he gives his fellow competitors, I hope we can just return the favor!
To Dillon and Family, Charlie, the Critters and my self want to continue to support you in any way we can and know that you are in our thoughts, on our minds, and especially in our prayers! Keep up the fight Dillon cause we are all right behind you. God Bless,

Location: ohio | Please keep my mother in-law and father in-law in your prayers. My father in-law just returned home from the hospital with reoccuring heart problems. My mother in-law was going through chemo (her 1st round) and got very sick and dehydrated. She has been in for a week now and is not getting better. On top of all this, my very good friend and hauling buddy just found out she has bone cancer. She sat out 2 seasons of hauling to fight and win her fight with breast cancer and was so excited to haul this year.

Location: IL | My mom is 64 yrs young and she is on a list for a lung transplant. She has a disease called pulmonary fibrosis. A lung transplant will allow her to live a good 15 yrs longer.
You know, unfortunately someone has to die in order for her to get this lung....so my prayer is that they know the Lord also. Mom is at the top 5 of the list right now so it could all happen pretty soon.
Then, my husband needs to be able to operate the ranch while I am gone and he works outside the home and he usually has to travel a few hours from home. All this will be trying on him while I am up in Mn helping my mom for a couple weeks. Things are tough right now and trying to figure it all out is a juggling act in some ways but they always seem to work. Prayers are needed.
Thanks,
Roxy

If you could keep Dad in your prayers, please. He goes in for surgery Tuesday morning. He has aneurysms on his kidneys. They are large enough now surgery has to be done. There are no guarantees that Dad will survive the surgery. If he does, the recovery and rehab are tough and long. We did Father's Day on Sunday, the 25th. We had tthe whole family together. It was reallly nice and I sure hope we get to do it again. |

Location: n.c. | Dad's surgery went very well. the Dr. is still in shock. Dad had aneurysm's on his kidneys. Dr. didn't give any guarantees as to whether Dad would even make it through surgery. Dad came through with flying colors. He's past the critical 48 hrs post-surgery and still doing good. He will be moved out of ICU today to a private room. The Dr. told us he was up all nite before Dad's surgery worrying about everything that could go wrong. Mom gave the Dr. an angel to put in his pocket. Dr. kept the angel, said it got really, really hot 2 to 3 times during Dad's surgery. So, I guess Dad and the Dr. had an angel watching over him. Dad has rehab starting next week. Will probably last a month. Thank you all for praying for Dad. It really helped him pull through. |

Location: Illinois | Asking for prayers for my step-daughter, Melissa Hilton (30 yr. old), from Benton, KY was injured in an ATV accident late last night. Her left hand was severed at the wrist. My husband and step-son left a short while ago and she is currently in surgery at University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY. I'll update as soon as I hear something.
Updated to add: We were originally told it was severed at the wrist but hubby called as soon as he got to the hospital and said the arm was severed between the elbow and wrist. Melissa is still in surgery so hopefully the surgeons were able to reattach.
New update: After a 12 hour surgery, Melissa is now in intensive care, with her arm re-attached. Praise Jesus! Thank you all for your prayers and please keep Melissa on your prayer lists as she has a long road to complete recovery!

Yesterday, I was making what was going to be a smokin run until my horse lost her footing @ the third barrel, fell and rolled oer the top of me. I got up and walked out and so did she but when I got back to the trailer, I was hurting. So after my mom threw the horses in their stalls, we went to the ER. They x-rayed and found out I have a broken collar bone. They gave me pain pills to get home on but I have to have surgery. |

Dad is in rehab now. He's having more bad days than good. Seems like dementia is setting in big time. It's so hard to see your Dad, who was always a vibrant, take charge, take no prisoners type of person, laying in bed talking out of his mind. Thanks for listening. It really helps. |

I need your help. this is a 3 fold Prayer request. Generally, I don't include myself, however, any help I can get, so that I can "shake this bug" would help. God Bless You All, once Again.
Today; December 15th 2008 a very dear friend of mine went in for double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery @ 11:00 AM this morning. I had just called, she is still in surgery as I type this (5:30 PM) Please pray for Pamela, Thank You so Much.
Another good friend of my mothers that caught that deadly flu bug, the ambulance took her to the hospital where she has been for the past 5 days. Very bad virus going around. Please pray for Lori, Thank You so Much.
Lastly; I have been rather ill myself. I rarely ask for help, however I'm pretty down with this bug. Finally went to doctor past Friday. Didn't wake up till 4:12 pm today, still really sick & can't seam to shake it off. Thank You so Much for Your Prayers & for helping me Pray for a few dear friends in need of our Lord's touch.
Thank You. God Bless Ronda

Location: Illinois | Ridafatappy - 2008-12-09 9:06 PM Just wanted to ask you all to include my grandaughter, Paige (9 yrs. old today) in your prayers. She has been having stomach pains off and on since early summer, after she eats. There have been diet changes and medications but no improvement. The pains have become more frequent. Paige is having an upper GI and ultrasound of her abdomen tomorrow morning. UPDATE:
My daughter took Paige to an allergy doctor for tests (after repeated tests of other sorts than allergies from a pediatric gastroenterologist who insisted Paige wasn't allergic to anything). Turns out Paige has some extreme food allergies. The results from the allergy tests came in last week and after some major dietary changes, this was Paige's first full week of school this year! Stomach pain has almost totally subsided. Simply amazing! Paige is allergic to peanuts, beef, egg whites, oats, dairy products, chocolate/cocoa, tomatoes, and a bunch of other things. She can eat pork, fish and chicken, white potatoes, corn, and I don't remember the rest. |

Location: Lost in North Dakota....wishin on all the stars | Could I ask for prayers for my mom. I didn't post this before, she nearly died last wedsnday on an overdose of ativan. She had gone through a 3 month supply in a week, had a major anxiety attack and slipped into a small coma, they brought her back and she went into detox.. She still has not dealt with the grief of loosing my brother in 98, and it wasn't but 8 months before that she lost her husband to a complication to his diabetes... that caused him to pass out while driving, he drove off the side of a cliff and she was the first on the scene to the wreck without knowing it was Wayne... I am sure you don't want the details..lol. Anyway, she has been detoxing since Thursday and sounds alot better then she has in awhile. If you could spare a few prayers for her recovery and sobriety I would appreciate it. |

It just seems like we are having a tough time as a group as far as getting along and keeping things in perspective.
So, I know things could be so much worse and I think of so many people on our prayer list that are facing much worse adversity. But if you can remember our group, I would really appreciate it :) |

Praying for all who are in need of God's comfort, wisdom and strength. May your loved one's be restored and your losses dignified through Jesus Christ who gave His own life; so that Your's could be spared. WE will meet our loved ones again in Heaven; I honestly TRUST what God has promised; this is called "Faith" unwavering belief in God. Father God; hears our Prayers. BELIEVE & HAVE FAITH that His Angels walk among us to provide light to guide our path which leads to eternal life. Thank You Jesus!
Healing Prayers – Can I receive healing from God if my faith is great enough? Every individual has the ability, through healing prayers, to express faith -- the belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing. You express faith in the car manufacturer who installs your brakes, faith in the architect who designs your office building, and faith in intangibles like gravity, solar heat, or a promise. “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). Biblical faith is determined by 1) reliance upon God rather than man and 2) confidence in the unseen power of God.
Exercising our faith in the area of healing may involve unconventional behavior. The Bible tells of a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years (Mark 5:25–34). She knew that her condition would cause Jesus to be unclean under Jewish law if she touched Him. Yet she reached out in faith and was healed immediately as “Jesus realized that power had gone out from him” (Mark 5:30). Genuine faith requires action. However, faith is not something we must “conjure up” enough of in hopes that God will heal us. Ultimately, it is God who chooses whether or not we will be healed.
For most people facing pain and possible death dramatically changes their lives. For some, dreams are shattered, relationships broken, and despair consumes their hearts. For others, new dreams are found, relationships strengthened, and hope takes over their hearts. A grieving and pleading father fell at the feet of Jesus. Jarius’ 12-year-old daughter had just died. Why bother Jesus now? Jesus tells the father not to be afraid . . . to just believe. With compassion, Jesus takes the dead girl by the hand and restores her to life (Mark 5:35–43). We must place our faith in the person of Jesus, the source of all hope and His promise of everlasting life. God knows best. Healing Prayers – Can I receive healing from God every time? The answer is definitely “Yes!” God can heal every sickness that leads to our ultimate death. But does God choose to heal us every time? No. He may heal us as a result of prayer. He may heal through simple procedures, through a surgeon’s trained hand, or He may heal us in a way that we can’t explain medically. God’s healing for each of our lives transcends our temporal perspective of pain and death. His will, or divine plan, for our lives is for this earthly tent to be exchanged for an eternal heavenly dwelling that never suffers the effects of sin’s decay (2 Corinthians 5:1–2). For children of God, there is ultimate healing for each of us.
As children of God, if you wish to say the following Prayer with me; I would be delighted for the opportunity to instill the Love of Christ Jesus into Your heart, so that you can find Hope to carry on with the journey God laid before you. In Jesus Name We Pray the Following for our fellow neighbor, family and friends; and for ourselves as well.
“Heavenly Father, You are intimately aware of the struggle I am experiencing -- the pain and the despair. You know the desire of my heart to be healed of this illness. I ask now for Your healing touch. I know that You are able and that just like in Bible times, You can heal me.
“I also understand that You will chose what is best for me. I pray that through this trial, I will draw close to You -- that You will be my comfort and strength. I pray that ultimately, whatever happens, You will be glorified through me. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen.”
did not mean to seam as if I were yelling; however hard it was to see the screen thru tears, many; many tears. Prayers for All our Friends and Loved One's going thru tragic times, saddness, illness, injury & loss. my heartfelt hugs and Prayers are with You, so is Jesus.

Location: La Junta Colorado | I ask for your prayers. I have not been well since a near-fatal car accident 4 1/2 years ago. i was "cleared" to ride in May of '06, the same summer i came back to the Lord. I had the best season ever. My horse hadn't been ridden that whole time and I just got on him and starting running again. Thank you Lord for "Mr Cotton Spot". A year after that, I had a Lymphoma scare and had surg on the left side of my neck and on the back of my head (one of the plastic surg scars from car wreck). The masses were benign, but I got a Staph infection in the hospital.... I have been on & off IV and oral antibiotics for the last 2 1/2 years. Now I have to have ANOTHER surg on the sinuses where my optic nerve comes in at (the lining of my brain is also right there). The Surg in placing a stint to drain the infection and also removing some cartilage from my nose to repair the damage to my septum caused by the constant infection and inflammation. Ow. I won't be able to ride for a couple of months. I just got a new pony at the Rafter Ranch sale too! I've been riding as much as I can until the surg, Oct 8. It was supposed to be today, but we had to postpone it 'cause we are right in the middle of weaning, shipping, and vaccinating (my hubby is the only ranch-hand and it's an overnight stay and we are 2 1/2 hours from Denver). After the car acc. I developed a condition known as RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy). It is similar to MS, except that in RSD the myelin sheath covering the nerves degenerates, leaving the nerves exposed. So I am in constant pain. The only times I am able to find relief, is either when I take so much pain meds that I am incoherent or when I ride (I pay for it later, but hey it's worth it to me). I have a good team of Drs and a wonderful pain management team. I actually was able to have my spinal cord stimulator removed a year ago and use relaxation, bio-feedback, auto-genesis, and self-hypnosis to tolerate the pain. I will undergo additional surg (during my recovery from the sinus surg), on my wrists in hope that they can remove multiple ganglions and relieve Carpal Tunel pain. My hands and wrists were shattered in the car acc. and I re-broke my right wrist when I was bucked off a young mare last spring. I have been in Physical Therapy for 16 weeks for my hands and back. Please pray for my mare also...she came back from a trainer with 3" of her tongue missing when she was a 3 yr old (before we bought her). She really is a good horse and has a lot of potential. She needs healing too. We have been developing our trust together, slowly. Thank you all ahead of time, I know you are out there!

My prayers to the other on this list. I pray for strenght, healing and courage to all. What a great idea to have this list. The power of prayer is amazing, it truly works miracles, God listens, and it really is undescribable the many lives that have been recovered that were sick or dying or hurt. Prayer Works! Praise God that we are here and that he loves us enough to help us! |

Location: Texas | Please add my cousin Chad Fergeson, he will be 21 in December... About a month ago he was shot in the head. Basically the bullit bounced around inside his head. The doctors thought he was going to be a vegetable for the rest of his life and gave the option to pull the plug. Now Chad is moving his arm, legs and head. He communicates by blinking. If you tell a joke, he laughs. He knows what is going on. He can't talk yet and the rehab place that said they were going to make him their poster child and pay for all of his rehab now thinks that he is unable to be rehabilitated-sp. Chad's mom fought to keep him out of a nursing home and she was able to take him home last week. The 2 men that shot him were bragging at a party about Chad being dead. They have still not been put in jail.
Please pray for a full recovery for Chad, pray for his family to make it through this mentally, physically, and finacially. Please pray that justice is brought to whoever did this to him.
Thank you! |

Location: NC | I came on here to ask that my husband and his fellow Marines make it home from Iraq safely on Tuesday, they have been gone all year... but after reading some of these replies, I feel so selfish.... Ive thought it has been so hard this year being alone with 2 kids all year, and everything in the world breaking and going wrong, health issues from cervical cancel cells, herniated disk, spondylosys, degenerative disk disease, root canals, to animals dying... you name it...
But...after reading.. I realize more than ever, how blessed I am.. I have a wonderful husband, (whom Im very proud of) and who has a job in this horrible economy...2 healthy kids, great horses/dogs who love us in return and so much more.. it really could have been a MUCH worse year for us .. as I see it has been for others. This board is great, and I will keep each and every one of you, and those mentioned in my thoughts and prayers tonight. God Bless all of you. |

Please also add Michael M. to the prayer list. He is a young bullrider from Pella, Iowa who was in a bad car accident last Tuesday evening. He is in the hospital and from what I understand went through an operation to remove part of his skull and brain. His parents are with him in the hospital and I can't imagine going through this especially this time of year.
Thank you and prayers to you all. |

| My horse could certainly use some prayers right now. Due to kinda a freak accident my horse ended up with tetanus. He was diagnosed 3 days ago at the first sign of it. He is still hangin in there under close watch at the vet. If you could keep him in your prayers that would be awesome. |

The ER doctor gave her pain meds for a kidney stone and it is something that she is allergic to (as documented). The kidney stone is lodged in the tube and she is too sick for them to get it out but they had to insert a tube into her kidney and a cath in her bladder because the tube being blocked was keeping the kidney from draining and causing a blood infection. She is my world and if she were not here i don't know how i would go on.... Please keep her in Prayers she is a strong woman but right now seems so frail.

She went through chemo and radiation for the first time last spring and the cancer did not go away. She is now going through chemo again. She now has multiple tumors and it has spread to her lymph nodes. She told me yesterday that a few of the tumors are shrinking but several are still growing. She is only 41 years old.
She's a great person, the kind that would help anybody. A true friend.

| Many prayers for everyone. Unfortunately I need to had a few people to the prayer list. A cousin of mine passed away last night, it truely was a blessing he is no longer in pain- Gary Also need to add my great uncle Gene he is having problems with his spleen, as of yesterday evening he was getting worse. On Sunday the town of Perry received the news a 16yo boy died from an asthma attack, remembrance services are tonight and funeral is tomorrow morning-his family could really use the prayers.

The doctors don't know what to do to fight it cause this parasite is so rare. They are only giving him a 10% chance of making it, he needs all the help he can get. |

Location: No place better...East TN!! | I'd like to ask for prayers if I may....I ask them not for myself, but for my family. I feel selfish for even asking as there are other people who need prayers worse than me.
Please pray that the Lord will bless my family with a new home as right now we don't have one. We have been living with family. My stepchildren have come to live with us because their mom has a drug problem & is incarcerated right now. There are 4 children & things aren't easy. Please pray that we will be able to keep them because their life with her has been nothing but torment. Children don't deserve the kind of life they have lived with her & the courts are finally starting to see what we have been trying to tell them. Please pray that the kids adjust well. They are happy with us & we hope to keep them always. Also, since our troubles began it has of course taken a toll on my marriage. Please pray that we stay strong & work together to get through this. Finally, I'd like to ask that you help me pray for strength & my faith renewed. I have Struggled with my faith for about 5 months now & it's taking it's toll. I believe in God & what he is capable of, but all the trials my family has been going through has made it hard for me to trust him completely. Please pray if you can spare the prayers.
Thank you all :) |

| Keeping Kyle in our prayers. Please update us if you hear any more.
Please pray for the LeWallen Family. Josh, Kacee, Lilly, & Austin lost their wife/mother Melissa to cancer on Monday. Melissa was only 28 and was just diagnosed a few months ago. Everything happend very quickly. Melissa had a strong faith in God and was at peace when she passed. She knew she was going home to our Heavenly Father. I pray that God gives Josh strength to endure and raise their beautiful girls on his own. I also pray that the girls will grow to have faith like their mother.

But I would like to request some prayers for my dad. He is accepting a job oppurtunity and will be moving to China for upwards of 5 years. It is so difficult to think of him being so far away for so long. He is extremely saddened that he will miss so much of our daughter growing up. He is a large part of her life. He believes that this new job is Gods work. And I just pray that it is, for his sake. |

Wanted to update, my dear friend Vickie passed away peacefully on August 10th.
If anyone could please spare a prayer for her mother I am sure that she could use our kind thoughts and prayers. |

Thank you (and everyone else who prayed) SO much for the prayers. She is out of surgery and according to the surgeon, everything went as planned! They performed an embolization (I hope I have this right), and her heart is already showing improvement. She is not out of the woods, but with the intial improvement, the family is overcome with joy. I'm humbled to my knees. May God's blessings continue to shower Baby L and her little family. Thank you God for your healing hands and hearing our prayers! |

This is a very scary situation and he and the family need all the prayers they can get. Please take a moment if you can spare it and left Kyle up in prayer. Location: SE Missouri | Just wanted to update on our friend Kyle. We have a miracle on our hands!!!! He went from Cardiac Arrest, coma, and induced hypothermia with no explanation to cause (has been tested for everything it seems) to responsive, off the ventilator, and TALKING!!! Thank you for the prayers. Everyone hopes to find the answer but so thankful to have him with us. God had a hand in this all the time. If had been summer he would have been checking cotton fields and I think we would have a completly different situation.
Prayers to all on the Prayer list. Reminds me how blessed I truly am. |

| So encouraged by reading about all the miracles and answered prayers. While I struggle through this valley I've been entrusted to walk, I simply ask for prayers. I trust that the Lord is with me, has a plan for me and is good all the time. But these days have been trying and the coming days will be worse. Please pray for a very special baby that is in desperate need of healing, a miracle is needed, and the family that loves her more than anything. Thank you.

Thank you for praying for him.
I'd like to ask for prayers, though, for my dad...he has been having some health issues which his doctor has not figured out what it is or why he is having it. They've done blood tests and may do more next week. We've tried to narrow it down, but nothing conclusive and he is getting no relief yet and he is getting very frustrated. All he knows is he doesn't feel good, has a pain in his lower back, and can't sleep for more than about an hour at a time without getting up to go to the restroom. So we hope he gets some relief soon.
ETA: Finally my dad saw a doctor today that did the necessary blood and urine tests, and it shows my dad is in stage 4 kidney disease, so more prayers will be most appreciated. Right now we are deciding on the next step of what to do.

Location: Montana | Thank you all again for the prayers...I don't know if ya'll want updates, but I guess I would, so here's another update. It turns out that my dad has had certain urinary problems common to men his age, but it caused a back up of water/fluid in his bladder which has caused his kidneys not to function normally. They and we are hoping now that they have drained that fluid (on Tuesday they took out 5700 milliliters(sp?) of fluid/urine from his bladder) and are keeping drained that his kidney function will return to near normal. But if it doesn't, they have to treat the urinary problem(s) first and get his body in stable condition (he's lost a lot of weight) before they can start on the kidneys. The best part is, my dad is feeling a lot better, he has regained his appetite, so we think he is starting on the mend, even though it is a slow process. Thanks again very much, we do completely believe in the power of prayer! |

Location: Montana | Another update! Things keep improving for my dad. He had more blood tests done on Friday, and the results are all going in the right direction: he's less anemic, his kidney function has improved (although not yet normal), his thyroid function has improved and some other tests came back with improvement but I don't remember what they are. His one doctor said they are just going to sit tight and do anything until they hear for sure what the urologist has to say, which is supposed to be the 1st of May. But the urologist already said they want to try to treat things medicinally before surgery. He's not out of the woods yet, so more prayers are appreciated.
So, thanks much for the prayers, I do believe they worked and will continue to work! |

Thank you so much for the prayers, and here's a quick update: My dad is pretty much back to normal. He will have to continue some medications and some at home treatments. But his one doctor said that he doesn't know what we do, but we should keep on doing it because now that my dad is on the road to recovery he hasn't seen anyone be more healthy than my dad. :) So thank you much for the prayers, I know they worked. We are seeing light at the end of the tunnel. :)
On a sadder note, one of my dad's friends, who is close to the same age, is projected to not live 2 months more. His name is Mark, and he has cancer that has pretty much perpetrated the inside of his body from his pancreas to his live to his lungs to his bones to his brain. You have been so kind to offer prayers, but maybe lift a few more up for Mark. He's lost a little more than 90 lbs. of weight. At the time my dad was going through his health issues, you would have thought Mark would have made it longer than my dad. How quickly things change. |

| Many of you know Don Wasson, the bit maker. Don and his wife, Deb, are good friends. About two months ago I just had this feeling that I needed to add Deb to my prayers, so I did. A couple of weeks ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had surgery and is doing great. She won't even need Chemo or radiation. If you have a moment to say a prayer that things continue to go well for her, I know they would be greatly appreciated. |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | Asking for a spare prayer or two for my grandma. My aunt took her to the hospital Tuesday with severe back pain... which turned into chest pain. EKG showed heart attack. They performed emergency surgery to put a stint in her main artery. Two more blockages on the backside of her heart were not able to be cleared due to severe bleeding. We made the trip yesterday and we're able to visit her. She seemed to be doing well. Only 33% of her heart is functioning correctly, but the medication seemed to be helping with the two remaining blockages. Unfortunately, this morning, she has regressed. A lot of pain again, and they are setting up for another EKG.
Just praying for Gods will to be done. Praying for His healing hand to be over her and just to keep the pain away. I know death comes regardless, and she is a believer in Christ, but it's so hard to see someone you care about in this condition.
Thank you. |

Prayers being sent now. My grandma had a horrible heart, but I always prayed for God to "fix" her so that she would live and I could keep her with me. The last time she was in the hospital I just saw how selfish I was being, so I sat on the edge of the bed to talk to Mammaw. I asked her if she thought it meant I didn't love her if I prayed to God to take her to be with Him if he wasn't going to heal her. She looked at me with a smile and pure love on her face and said she thought that meant I loved her more than anything. So I sent my prayers up. . . . Within 2 days my saint of a grandmother was walking those streets of gold and rejoicing. So I feel your exact emotions praying God's will be done. And I pray that same prayer with you now, in the mighty name of Jesus. Much love to you and your family, Bingo. |

never underestimate the power of prayer. I saw this verse while reading my bible today, in matthew, and it said: and I tell you more: whenever two of you on earth agree about anything you pray for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. jesus said those words.... time may fade away, but the words stand as true as ever. God is amazing. So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. -John 16:22 God bless y'all. ?? |
