Personally I think you are way better off to spend your money and an injected Joint supplement than a feed through one. I use Acetyle-D-Glucosamine. Adequan is the best but more money.

I was wondering this same thing. I have been looking for a joint supplement and haven't had very many opinions. I cant afford the higher end feed supplements. any advice would help!

From what I understood my vet saying there is a bit of evidence that certain joint supplements are not absorbable via digestion so injections would probably be the better bet. We were talking about the platinum performance cj vs. the original formula. She told me that HA is not as easily absorbed through ingestion.

I do adequan and legend because both target different areas on the horse. I can always tell my mare feels better after she has had either her legend and adequan.

I use adequan and a joint supplement called in-motion that one of my coaches makes. She was an a circuit hunter/jumper, assistance trainer at the breeders cup and triple crown level w TB's and ran an equine performance therapy business for a while too. It's the only supplement I've ever noticed any difference with. She knows what's in it, why and what each does. There is no HA as it is not really absorbable. I think working from a direct, IM and feed through capacity gives you the most options for aid and assistance.
