My new barrel mare. She is cute as a bug and hard working. Previously used on feed lots and did ranch work. Took to the barrel pattern like a pro. This little gal loves to run. Can't wait to get her going.
We call her Katniss. I saw another thread talking about that name. My husband named her that after watching the Hunger Games. Gritty little girl with lots of determination and loves her family...
Anyone familiar with this bloodline

Location: Midwest | I have heard Docs Prescrition horses are really nice minded. My husband's cousin had a paint bred that way who was a nice, beginner friendly barrel horse. She also rode it english. Sold her to a little girl for barrels once she got more into eventing. |

| I have a Doc Perscription mare also have owned her since she was 2, She is now 18 and my 11 yr daughter started running her this year. She is awesome I team penned and sorted on her first few yrs I had her very very cowy . She had professional training at cutting trainer . I started her on the pattern when she was about five, already had great handle so she picked it up very easy. Poles also . She loves her job. She is a little quirky. But great trail horse , barrel horse, penning horse, just a good all around using horse don't know how I will ever replace her. |

| I had a Docs Prescription mare who was also crossed Docs Hotrodder and that mare was HOT, but once you had her mind she was the hardest grittyiest (is that even a lol) working horse ever. Name was Fancy Bar RX and she was never transferred so I wonder what happened to her. |

Location: Southern OK aka God's Country | Docs Prescription usually sires show type horses, or so I thought. My show horse was a DP and he was an idiot, so maybe he should have been doing something else! There's a lot of foundation on there--Wimpy, King, Poco Bueno, Three Bars. Jet Deck is well known for barrel horses, but it's an old bloodline. Same with Sugar Bars. |

| The top is lots of cutting. Poco Tivio was like his sire gentle, smart, willing. Most of their offspring have the same characteristics. Doc Bar offspring are also laid back, very cowy, easy to train. Doc Bar sired some greats like: Doc O'Lena, Dry Doc, Fizzabar. On the bottom there are great lines but really far back, Wimpy, King, Jet Deck, Sugar Bars, Joe Reed(Joe Sunday's sire). Fast Fling is the grandsire of Streak of Fling but that's all I recognize on the bottom. |
