I have one that was a trophy saddle. I always used it as a colt saddle. I started riding a few of the Colts in it and I have to say that while the materials aren't of the best quality, it is fairly well balanced.

My husband has a Blue Ridge cutting saddle, it's his favorite. The leather on it is nice and they stand up to a lot of abuse. Its his colt starting/everyday saddle.
When I was looking for a new barrel saddle I looked at these but couldn't find on in a small enough seat. I think they are over looked because of the low price tag.
