| My husband is looking to start his rope horse on Platinum Performance, and we're backwards so Im the one going "holy CRAP thats a lot of money!"
Is it really worth the price? Do you feed it once or twice a day? Im thinking he'll need the CJ because his feet aren't fantastic, and well, he's a calf horse thats almost 14, and tho he's pretty sound now he needs all the help he can get.
Basically Im just looking for some reassurance that this stuff is worth its weight in gold, because it appears to cost **** near as much! |

Location: Somewhere in N.C. | I just ordered and started my broodmare on it. I am praying it is what they claim it is. My mare is on
oats, grass and alfalfa, so she still needs more nutritian for the foal. It's hard to analyze their guaranteed analysis, because it isn't broken up by how much you feed. very frustrating trying having to do all the calculations myself. My mare looks great now, so if I see any signs of her going backwards, I'm sending it back!!! would love to hear what everyone else has to say.

Location: south arkansas | call PP and have them send you samples before you jump in there and buy it..... I had to sell mine my horse wouldnt touch it, after purchasing it I called and they sent me samples of the other flavors of CJ and she wouldnt have any of it either. Good Luck

| Yes it is worth it. My 12 year old head horse is on it. I was thinking he was going to have to start having routine injections, but now that he is on Platinum he is back to 100%.. It gives those older horses more fire as well. |

| If the horse is not having joint issues I would I would feed the Platinum Performance. I was feeding several different supplements and found that just feeding Platinum is more cost effective. I feed one scoop a day to my performance horses.
I have one horse that has a chip in his knee and he gets one scoop of Platinum CJ each day. Works great. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | Yes its worth its weight in gold. I feed the CJ even to my 6 yr old mare who I run barrels on. She has no issues but I figure if I want her to perform to the best of her ability and last for many years to come I'm giving her the best. I think PP CJ is the best. I only grain once a day and when we're on the road I feed twice a day. In the off season I only give 1/2 a scoop a day for maintenance. During the season I give 1 scoop. |

| I compared pp and exceed 6-way when I was supplement shopping. Ended up going with the exceed and couldn't be happier with how fantastic my horse looks and feels. |

Location: Sunny So Cal | I used to be on PP CJ and I don't feel like it did anything for my horse. It didn't cause any harm but I don't feel like it helped make my horse better. Spending all of that money I wanted to see a difference and I didn't see anything. And I had all four of my horses on it hoping that maybe one would change, but nope. The only formulas I found that I could feel a difference and actually see a difference was from THE. So many different options and super affordable. |

So I just called about getting some samples sent (the ladies there were super nice), but they cant ship the CJ to Canada because apparently the border looks at glucosamine as a drug. :(
The lady figured that even the Platinum Performance Equine would really help him out, and gave me the number of a dealer in Canada who can ship me some samples, so I guess we'll give that a shot! |

| I have two on PP. A 2 yo filly and a 12 yo mare. Both have been on it for coming up on 60 days. LOVE it. I can see a difference in how my mare handles hauling, she has a bit more pep in her runs, and her winter hair coat looks great. Also, as compared to other supplements, PP is a bit cheaper for what you get. 1 scoop to each once a day ... worth every penny. |

| Is it worth it though if you have a horse with moderate arthritis in hocks and stifles? Does it do anything for them? I fed Exceed 6-way all summer to my arthritic mare and I noticed zip zero zilch difference! |

Many states are out of money and are not doing the label compliance testing that they used to do. As a result, some companies may not be meeting their label guarantees, or the components may be inferior and not as available to the horse. Platinum is not in any of these categories. I feel that they do provide what they say that they do. I don't sell it, or use it, so I don't have a dog in this fight. That being said, high quality components do not come cheap. I have formulated and private labeled a number of supplements for other companies over the years, and making an ethical product that competes in the market place is a challenge when some unethical companies are selling supplements at a lower retail price than the components that they say are in there can be purchased at manufacture cost. Be cautious if the deal seems too good. This quality issue is worse today than ever, and the premier brands are worth the extra money, if your horse needs them. |

| I've used Platinum before in the past and have been very, very happy with the results. I currently do not have anything on it, but would love to put one on CJ. But it's just a tough pill to swallow price wise. Lol. |

Excellent to hear as I do love the product. Now if I could get my hands on some Renew Gold to try my life would be complete....or should I say my horses life would be complete.  |

Keep in mind that one supplement works great for one horse, but not for another. Your horse may possibly just not respond to Exceed 6-way. You could absolutely try another supplment such as PP CJ. On that same token, I am sure there are horses that PP CJ doesn't work well for, but Exceed 6-way does. Every horse is an individual. |

Location: Red Raiderland | I use PP for my mare and a friend of mine had some CJ that her horse wouldn't touch. I bought her PPCJ in green apple and my mare hated it. I ended up just feeding it to my old cutting gelding because he will eat anything and he did eat it with no problems. I think the green apple has a terrible smell and I can see why some horses wouldn't care for it. Regular PP seems to be the winner with all of my horses that have tried it. I have probably tried it on 5 or 6 different horses and they all ate it. |

Location: Royal J Performance Horses, AZ | If you want to put your horse on PP but are wanting somethign to help his joints here is my suggestion. (and both of my vets reccomendation)
Get regular PP the general one. Then give your horse monthly IV or IM injections of Polyglycan. You will save money and the Poly has proven that it is effective on a wide range of horses.
I get my poly for 85 a Vile so its about $42 a shot. and depending on how hard you use your horse you may need it more often or less.
For me this has worked perfect, it's cost effective, it works, and my performance horses look great and feel even better.
Not saying the Poly works for every one ( as I see from previous Poly debates) but if it does and you like it Try it my way I don't think you'll regret it

| I started my barrel horse on pp CJ about a year ago per my vet. We didn't have the best year. We have gone back to our old supplement and MSM and he is winning. I have another on it and doing ok. I think it is a case be case. Both have needed injections. I am putting both on my old supplement with MSM as it is alittle more cost effective.
