Hands down Pat McCue at CSU. He literally wrote the book on equine repro work. Plus he's a really good guy.
Edited to add that I don't know Pat personally. I have simply talked with him on the phone when working with our mares. He was thorough and never talked down to me or rushed through the conversation.

CSU and Pat McCue did all our repo work this last spring. He, and his staff are just awesome. Dr. McCue was also the one who harvested at the semen for us at 5am at the CSU Vet Hospital when we lost Slim and Paula the lab guru managed to squeeze every last swimmer he had. The entire staff is super and the facilites are brand new after the fire they had a couple of years ago. We will be going back again in the spring with our mares knowing we've got them in great hands. Dr. McCue has a wonderful sense of humor and you don't feel like a dummy if you want to ask a question. On our last trip to pick up mares last year there was a lady who had a mare pronounced in foal to Chicks Beduino. She had paid 10k for 1 straw! Some of the interns I talked to were heading out to begin their careers at JEH stallion station and some of the top facilities in the nation. We're going to take these 3 old speed mares down there to foal out and breed back in the spring. I don't want to take any chances :)

Thank you, I think this is who I am going to go with, not sure if you caught my thread a month or so ago about breeding my 26 going on 27 year old mare, but she's who I will be hauling down to have flushed. This baby will be very special and this mare means the world to me so want to have her in the most capable hands possible!
