My husband put up Christmas lights across the front fence on our property....even the gate and put a wreath on it! I pull up nice and excited thinking how pretty! Then the next thought in my mind is the horses can get to them on one side. If they happen to chew on them is there enough electricity running thru them to kill or hurt them?

Better to be safe than sorry. I'd take them down. We had a horse get electrocuted and die from a tank heater. After that, I don't take chances with electricity.

Thanks everyone. We were able to rearrange a little and take down the last section of lights on that side. So I feel a lot better now. Thanks again.
You did good ....
110/120v is your most dangerous ... it can contract your muscles and you can't let go ........ where 220/240v will knock your butt 20 feet away from it ... you will know if you are still alive if you can stand up ... lol..
