Speaking of broken bones, what kind of calcium do you recommend?  As some of us are getting up there in years, broken bones is a real factor, even in minor oopsies.
I had a bone density scan, numbers came back for osteopenia . ( broke arm in a fall)
Doctor wanted me on some drug, I would prefer to do the supplements and food change  and see what changes occurred, next year.
Besides calcium, any other supplement for bones?

I have been taking a bone supplement called Stronium, besides calcium. Came highly recommended. My last bone density came back okay.

I would suggest 1000 mg calcium and at least 2000 IU Vitamin D3 per day.  Studies have shown that the addition of these two supplements will lead to stronger bone, faster, compared to people who don't take these supplements.  I think it's worthwhile having a total vitamin D level checked at least once.  You can be "insufficient" which is low, or "deficient" which is the lowest category.  Almost everyone I check up here is at least Vit D "insufficient".  That's because we are constantly indoctrinated to use sun screen and cover exposed skin to the cancer causing uV radiation.  Sunlight is required for our bodies to create the most active form of Vitamin D (D3) in the skin.  If a person is really deficient, then you might have to take quite a bit more for a while, and then settle on a baseline amount.  Be careful to not overdo it with the calcium, because that can lead to problems, such as kidney stones (so-called "Milk Alkali Syndrome").

THE NutraWound. It helps your whole body to become stronger by increasing the collagen production which is necessary for connective tissue. Everyone thinks it is just for healing but it has other good properties as well.

You also need Magnesium or the calcium you do take will be inefficient . It is best you use a liquid vitamin as the solid pill form don't always break down fast enough for you to utilize. Most health food stores will have a liquid.
