Location: South Dakota | Since everyone else is being shy, I will break the ice on this one, as I'm super excited about my gift! Stopped at the post office today and it had just gotten here.
I lucked out and had my name drawn by BHW's talented, ever popular SaraJean! She sent me a cute card and Gift Certificate for one of her drawings! Now just to figure out what picture I want her to use!
I've always wanted one of her drawings, so I'm extremely excited and appreciative of this gift!

I will of course post a picture of the drawing when it is completed, so everyone can be jealous

Location: Texas | Sent my package out earlier this morning. My buddy should get hers either tomorrow or Monday. She lives in Texas, just a few hours from me, so... Who knows if the snail mail will be quick or not
I on the other hand, did not have a permanent address at the time of the start of Secret Santa. So I used my family's address (my old residence). So my mom will be holding on to my gift until I can drive down to pick it up. If anyone has me and hasn't sent out the package, and wants the spoil the secret, I have a new address.

I was so excited when I went to the post office and it was there. I have the packing materials for my buddy's and will be getting it in the mail this week! This is so much fun.
My son had to model the scarf but would not be serious for nothing, so please forgive the goofy look and just admire the scarf

So glad you like the goodies! I had a blast shopping! Had never heard of the Amish figurines..that was really neat! When I came home with the candy I almost lost it to the kids.
At least your son has a good sense of humor! One day mine slipped a sports bra on over his shirt and wore it around JC Penneys..much to his sister's embarrassment!

It is possible that the weather delayed shipping to certain areas. Mine said that it arrived at 11:04 am yesterday (Dec, 7 2013).
It was shipped directly from the company so I don't know how festive it looked lol. I wanted her main gift to arrive on time, but I have a more "Christmassy (sp?) " small gift to send her. |

Love my cross it is beautiful I collect them. My horses are gonna love the grooming stuff! My granddaughter Raycee (she is 1) has taken over the beautiful halter for her pony UH-O

Tammykat, I am so happy you love your gift. I truly enjoyed every minute of making it. I remembered in your about me post you said you loved black and white photos that made you wish you were there. Well what better photos to be in black and white than of you and Virginia. The horseshoe is from my old mare. That horse is do full of love and try and heart. Her shoe was the perfect one for this. The wood is from my barn. My dad who has Alzheimer's helped me put the wood together. This gift was something truly special for all involved. Sorry for all the tape, my dad was really worried about it going all the way to Texas. Hugs!

I really can't stay anonymous, waiting for you to get it was driving me crazy. Back in October when everyone was talking about not doing the exchange and sending money to Virginia parents instead, I knew she would have been so angry had y'all not done something she loved so much. This exchange is so amazing, and meant so much. Everyone was so excited about GIVING, I saw one post that said it seem everyone was more excited about the giving this year then receiving. That to me is amazing, reminds you what's really important. No one knows what tomorrow brings, I learned that this year. I want to be able to make a difference, and this is a tiny way we can do that. Sometimes we all get so caught up in our daily lives we forget the important things. I'm so glad you liked your gift, and I'm glad you liked what I wrote. I still can't think too much about her without crying, so many of us lost a piece of ourselves on that hill, but being able to do this in her memory brings some of what I lost back. I'm looking forward to doing this again next year!!

I thought Tuffy was going to take the package out of my hands when I had trouble getting the plastic wrapper off, and when I set the package down after giving them each one treat, Will and Tuffy sat on both sides of it staring at it like "hello there's more in there!!!!"

| I love Secert Santa. I do it every year at school. You could put thumbtacks in my mailbox and I'd get excited. I just have fun with the whole giving and recieving part. I get disappointed when people say it's for the kids. Nonsense it's for me also. It's a special holiday. You don't have to buy expensive gifts. It's the thought that should count. I enjoy seeing what everyone recieved on here. |

She got me a personalized bronc halter for my precious girl, Zephyr, who's going to training in March. It actually made me tear up because I've been wanting one just like this for a while. Now everyone will know exactly who she is!!! Even better it got here before I left this weekend. I'll try to post a picture of her wearing it if I can soon.
I also got a fabulous lime green and black print slinky, a hoof pick, a cross for my saddle, some coasters, and a nice boot magnet. It's all fabulous!!

I'm glad you liked it. The soap was my daughter's idea. We were buying stuff and she mentioned that. My mare seems to really like the cooling effect it has. And I love the smell!

I thought Tuffy was going to take the package out of my hands when I had trouble getting the plastic wrapper off, and when I set the package down after giving them each one treat, Will and Tuffy sat on both sides of it staring at it like "hello there's more in there!!!!"
Two Flair Strips - good thing, I was getting low!
Chapstick - I can never have too much of it - I keep a tube in every coat & vest pocket
Big funky earrings
a guardian angel visor clip
an Under Armour ear warmer
Hand warmers
And a tube of hand lotion, which I ALWAYS need in the winter.

As soon as I opened the package, these wonderful scents came pouring out. Scents bring back memories and it immediately reminded me of my Mother's home at Christmas and I sure miss those days.

Joker just isn't allowed very many big treats because he choked last summer and I don't want to risk another $2500 vet bill. I gave him one and he liked it so I think I'm going to bring a handful in the house and see if I can slice them in half for him. I bet it will work so no need to send more for him. He will get them once in a while but not as often as Chance & Clifford who are more reliable about chewing their treats up. The treats were definitely a hit with the horses - Clifford followed me back to the gate licking the pocket where I'd had the treats.
I wore the headband over the weekend while riding with Matt, and he says I will love the hand warmers when it gets cold again. You kicked butt shopping for me!! |

| I picked up my gift from secret Santa, had a peek and it looks awesome, the candles smell amazing, I like the candle holder, the pottery cups made from local clay where you grew up, that is cool. I like the fishing ornament, can't wait to try out the dip, will wait till Aaron is home as he will love it, he likes dips and cheese balls. And thanks for the chocolate, a girl always loves chocolate.

Also she totally got the right one on the "painted pony" I do NOT have this one but will fit in with all the others!!! LOL He will get a place of honor among the others! A new set of PINK bell boots which I do not have any of, a pink gator bronc halter with a lead, Will look so good on Oprha also we will be styling!! A pink mane and tail brush for the horses, been needing one as had to steal mine toward end of season as lost my other one to the dogs!! and a pink pair of strtch gloves that will make sure hubby doesnt steal them, and I needed them for my mitten gloves as my finger are ALWAYS freezing even with mittens on!! I am soooo totally pleased with my gifts!!

Unfortunately the post office has decided that they need my Christmas package more than me so I have to be patient a little longer.
I have PM'd Jen back but she must have logged off and has not got it yet so I will share with BHW how this will be great anyway. My birthday is January the 8th. My MIL's is January 1, my sister's is January 4, my son's is January 5 and my dad's is ALSO January 8.
Jen must have got vibes that that due to all the family birthdays at this time and being so close to Christmas, I generally miss out in the birthday stakes. So this year I will be so excited to be able to look forward to a SUPRISE package from MissouriJen!

I love the gift exchange and felt horrible that time kept getting away from me. Next year I am going to have to shop earlier since there is basically no shopping in my hometown.
I had planned on shopping at Bonus Race Finals in Tulsa - then the snow & ice kinda wreaked havoc on that event - then I was going to finish up the next Thursday. Ended up CREAMING a deer with the truck & trailer and limping it home in spurts. Which was oh so fun. lol. Got my shopping done on the weekend, then got to work Tuesday and promptly had a flat tire so the car was stranded until Dad could come to town and change the tire (Tuesday is an insane day at work and I never even have time for lunch let alone changing a tire). So I was excited when I finally made it to the post office Wednesday. Then my gray horse won enough money to pay for either the new radiator in the truck or the new car tire........finally the month is turning around!
Glad my fruit loop quote amuses you. It is oh so true about me......or so I have been told.

A scented wall plug in which I love having anything scented (good smells) like I was baking or something, and a badly needed beautiful picture frame. Looks like barn wood and barb wire. It is really neat. Thank you so much Melanie.
Now this totally non teck savvy terrible on computers person that I am has to ask hubby for help putting a picture on, so that may take a while, but I will corral him shortly for help....

I had to be very careful carrying the dog bones inside because my parents have two big lab mixes, my brother has a heeler and I have a mini Aussie. all 4 of them wanted that bag BAD!!!!! they are very used to me bringing treats home and didn't believe me when I told them that bag wasn't for them LOL. |

NTO sent me a bandana from the NFR, a GORGEOUS NFR "Luck of the Draw" t shirt, a Winchester firearms t-shirt, yummy smelling Juniper berry lotion, beautiful earrings, COMFY slippers, a backpack, gator saddle cross, and she sent Rock a BEAUTIFUL collar! It looks fantastic on him! And a beautiful card.

I didn't sign up for SS because of all that I am having to do at the moment I was just afraid I could not hold up my end and I didn't want to let anyone down. Went to the P.O. yesterday and I had this big box from M.R.L.! You are my precious angel! You will never know how much this SS surprise means to me. I am so shocked and happy happy happy. I have called all my friends and family to tell them. This is the most wonderful group of people here on BHW. Last year I wasn't sure I would even be here and now to have been shown such kindness is the most wonderful feeling. I still have one little Rat Terrorist, Chubby's cousin, and he and I are going to join in in enjoying our gifts.

Kendra I am so glad you guys liked them, and now glad you got the one with the card or the other one might not of been discovered before the puppy had a REAL treat with it!! LOL Hope everything fits and that you like it! Couldnt find any really dressy pull over sweat shirts so thought the jacket one would work for going out to a meal or something!

The socks, bracelet, candle, lotion, HORSE TREATS, and the gumbo recipe were right on target We always havs gumbo at my dad's at Thanksgiving and my daughter has been after me to make some at home but I don't know how.
